50 cent blowout holy crap

What is the verdict? Are they good, do they suck? Inquiring minds need to know!

Hey I would like to know too.
Response elsewhere has been staggering (at least for us). Some guys are on their 3rd or 4th wheels already.

Sorry for the slow reply. My test subjects are taking their time. One told me they will smoke it tonight. If not I'll have one this week end.

Paul I never received anything nor did I get a response from you. You did receive my PM right?

Scott I don't think so

thanks

OK one of the guys here tried the cigar and he didn't like it. Said it didn't have any flavor or smell to the smoke. It was just there and did nothing for him.

I still waiting on another to smoke it. Once I hear from him I'll let you know.

Paul,

The other guy ended up smoking his the other day and came back with the same opinion. The cigar was very bland with no flavor to it. If you wish I will ship the cigars back to you minus the 3. Let me know.

DG

I cannot say that I am completely surprised. I have tried the same sort of test with other cheaper bundled cigars and received the same sort of verdict. Maybe there is not anything particularly offending about them but they are not anything to write home about, to say the least.

What Paul is offerring is a good yard gar when your in the garage workin' on the lawn mower and / or other farm tools. These are great sticks to give your buds that are non-cigar smokers and you don't want to waste one of your better sticks on them. I have a large glass humidor just for these "special" sticks for when the time is right. You never know, in a few years of humi time, they just might come around. Lastly, if you don't enjoy em', I'd bet that there is a soldier, sailor or airman over in the desert that would....... :)

Hey Guys:
Anyone who did not like these does not need to pay and does not need to return them. That was the deal.

Of course everybody's palate is different. And I HAVE been careful to say that these are not intended to be anything more than a good value for the money. BUT, my own opinion of these cigars matters not one whit. But these are the kinds of comments we've gotten from other sites where we offered this cigar. And FWIW, as of right now, 50% of our sales of this are reorders from people who already received and tasted them.

yup, given my low expectations, I was very surprised at the flavor profile.
The only thing that may have made these better is to ditch the gold band and leave a shaggy foot in line with its rustic construction

I ordered another bundle of these today.
Cons: Somewhat spongy, flaky ash and at times they can get bitter (only on two of them thus far)
Pros: med in strength, $.50 a gar, good draws, at times has different flavors and spice. Its not a one dimensional smoke.. BTW 50 CENTS A GAR!!!!
This might end up being the biggest no brainer of the year

I've smoked a couple so far and I gotta agree... if you miss this one you will be hating yourself later in 2008. I think once they get a some humidor time they will get even better. Typically I smoke Montecruz NC's and Connies. This cigar will fit in the mix just fine. Next paycheck i'm going to pick up a few more bundles... unless you guys buy em all up
Also... I want to know what's the deal with the figurado? Are there bundles of those we can get? I'm torching mine this weekend. Who ever rolled it looks like they did a nice job.

I'm smoking another one right now and I'm amazed at the strength and flavor these put out for 50 cents (or for $3.00 - $5.00 for that matter).

Anyway, it is what it is, and we'll keep offering up Outlet priced offers on various things that we produce.

I recieved my wheel of 50, put them in my humidor. Nice color very good rolling. Lit one..good draw lots of smoke. the spice danced on my tongue and I like them!!!! worth every penny. You've got my business. Merry Christmas everyone.

Oh man...I forgot to reply to this! I got my wheel of 50 like two weeks ago. Dark maduro churchills, similar smell to an RP? A little on the damp side, however still fired one right up. Smooth with a little spice. Lots of earth and a little musty flavor, good bit of cocoa I'd say. For a 50 cent smoke, these cannot be beat! Anyone want pics let me know and I can post 'em.

Payment sent day after receiving.

Thanks Paul!

Paul, I received my bundle early this past week and have put away 35 of the 50 in their own humidor for long term aging. The other 15, I'm handing out to friends to get an overall review of them. I plan on smoking one myself during the Eagle vs. Cowboys game today and I'll give you my honest opinion afterwards. Either way they are a good looking stick and well rolled, I'll call you this week........ :)

Since others like them and I didn't feel right keeping them and Paul kept to his word I've sent these to a person putting a care package together for the troops. I donated these under CFO and your name Paul.
