50 cent blowout holy crap

Sorry I forgot to reply to this thread sooner. I tried mine about a week or so ago, after letting some sit in a humi for a week.

Personally I didn't care for the taste of them that much... they were almost a bit too strong for me, but I did offer some to fraternity brothers of mine at our Naughty or Nice Christmas Party and they all loved them. I even had random people at the party coming up to me and asking to buy them at $2.00/cigar after having others had told them where they got the cigars from.

If you're looking for a good price on a decent cigar for someone who is more of just a social smoker... you can't go wrong with these.

I called up CFO and let them know my thoughts, and that other people there loved them and thought that they were well worth the price. They are now putting together a special sampler package for me which I'm looking forward to trying.

Thanks Paul!

Thanks Raj-

Hey Rob: They're not "ApprenticeCigars", nor are they representative of most of what we produce. Hell, they're not even representative of most of what we have for THE OUTLET. They are something we produced in very large quantity for a large distributor who wanted a VERY inexpensive cigar. These are the overruns, which is why we don't have that many. I have tried to be very cautious to let everyone understand both what these ARE and what they AREN'T, and I hope they still add up to a great deal at 50 cents. Whenever we offer ANYTHING via THE OUTLET, at ANY PRICE, we will be sure to let you know what to expect. Sometimes Premium or even "SuperPremium", sometimes mid level, sometimes the cheap stuff. They can't all be 50 cents, but they will ALL ALWAYS be a bargain, as we're running this as a true factory outlet.

Thanks to ALL of you for giving us a shot, and have a great Holiday.

"An introductory BLOW OUT from Cigar Factory Outlet-
Never heard of us? That's OK, you will.
A true factory outlet. Nothing fancy, no frills, just dynamite prices on different things we make.
To get a ROARING start, we're offering this:

Our #7 blend 6.5x50 wheels of 50
FOR ONLY 25$ You read right!!! 50 cents a stick
SunGrown wrapper from Ecuador spicy and rich
Criollo binder
mixed Ecuador and Honduras fillers heavy on the ligero
This is NOT the world's finest cigar just pretty damned good for half a buck.
Wheels only, no samplers, no singles. Shipping is $2.50

Hard to go too far wrong for $27.50 I've had the cigar-- and it definately isn't the world's best. But its tasty, medium bodied, burned well. For that price anything that doesn't shit the bed is worth a shot.

Received my wheel of cigar today from PMagus. I plan to do an official review of this cigar when the time is right. Tonight I just had to see what these were all about so went ahead and lit one up. Hell, they are only .50 cents a stick, right! Well let me just say that I am very satisfied with this purchase. Keeping in mind that my expactations were not to be smoking Opus or anything... these are pretty damn good in my opinion. Loads of spice, medium flavor, earthy and nutty. And I'll be damned if these cigars aren't covered in plume. Very well construced and they smell great. This has been a great deal so far.

Dude, check to see if you have any of that "plume" on the foot. If you can shoot in macro, a closeup of the loose single would be nice too.

Yeah.... that thought did cross my mind. None on the foot... I'll take a closer look and get some more pics. Uh oh...................... ???

I'm hardly an authority. Post the closeup. There are many here with enough experience to form the jury.

Here are a couple of the suspects. Keep in mind that this is a pretty strong camera... and the macro does tend to pick up every little shadow. None the less... I'm a bit concerned. Whats the move from here? Do I isolate these cigars?

Most of the cigars look fine. I pulled a few that were a bit suspect. That original picture is really screaming "MOLD"! Guess in my inexpereince I assumed it was plume. Any suggestions from here are greatly appreciated.

Too bad because I really enjoyed the cigar.

I have not before seen an entire cigar covered in plume - never had one get old enough to develope plume.

I have seen plume speckle like that, though. One thing I can't see in the photo is the color. Plume should be white. At best, mold is grey or even blue. Logic also dictates that plume and bundle (cigar) aren't likely to appear in the same sentence.

I'm no expert on plume, but looks like mold to me. I would be concerned. I hope I'm wrong.

Hey Guys:
Haven't seen a mold problem with these before, and frankly I can't tell from the picture. These cigars are unconditionally guaranteed, so if there IS mold, we'll replace, right away, lets be sure one way or another though.
Thanks,
CFO

Looks like you have a warranty claim there, Paul.

Well, I am personally a little bit torn here. I honestly can't tell 100% for sure if these cigars are showing early stages of mold or not. I have them resting in a large bag with a humipack, so I suppose only time will tell. I will be inspecting them closer and getting some other opinions in the meantime.

Don't be torn Mike---
when in doubt.......... We'll go ahead and replace.
If you you continue to monitor the ones you already got, LMK what you find, as we DEFINATELY want to know about mold. But REPLACEMENT will not await anything

Indeed! Paul is going to ship me another wheel at no charge. I'll keep an eye on the original wheel in the meantime! Thanks Paul!

Got mine on Friday. No signs of mold on them. Nice looking sticks for 50 cents a pop. Hope they smoke as good as they look.

Gonna let these rest for a bit before I review them.
