From Hee-Haw: Hey Stogieman, what's for breakfast?

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on as always. Ray, for breakfast today it looks like I'll be heading over to the West Point Dining Facility (mess hall) for some good Army chow. Maybe an omlet with everything and a biscut or two with cream beef (SOS). Well, it was good to see the Yanks win last night as Sidney Ponson's pitching helped out with a score of 5 - 3 over the Rangers. Joba Chamberlain was put on the DL after being taken out of the game the other night was diagnosed with right rotator cuff tendinitis. The Bombers have had quite a few injuries this year but they keep fighting tooth and nail for every win. There's still a good 6+ weeks in the regular season and I'm sure that they will rise to the top as always. Anyway, Beth and I will be heading to Lake George this evening for a short 4 day vacation and will be back Sunday. It's about and hour north of Albany which makes it roughly 150 miles from here. If I don't get online at the hotel, I'll see you all in a few days. Have a great weekend and enjoy........ :)

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on. Well, we had a great time on our mini vacation to Lake George. The weather was great and we did as much as we could in 3 and a half days and still relaxed. I hope everyone has a great week and enjoys a few of thier favorites through out it........ :)

Good morning all and as usual, the coffee is on. After a long weekend at the lake, Beth and I stayed home last night and relaxed on the sofa and watched the Olympics. The Moose is back on the mound tonight for the struggling Yankees with the first pitch at 2010 (8:10pm) and hopefully they can pull out a win tonight. Not sure what it is for the Bombers this year, all the injuries, bad luck, unsure but it would be nice to see them turn it around. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys........ :)

Good Wednesday Morning all and yes, the joe is brewin'. Well the Yankees won last night in the 12th inning 9 - 6 with A-Rod and Xavier Nady both homering to end the 4 game loosing streak. Today they are back at with Darrell Rasner startin' on the mound with the 1st pitch at 1310 (1:10pm). For the full story from last night, check it out:

Hope to see as many of you there.......... :)

Oh yeah, Happy Hump Day to you!!!!!!!

Good morning brothers.

Woke early for customary 0430 PT, then after having worked out, did some sprints downstairs on the beach, came back up to the pad where the chef had breakfast going consisting of grits, wheat toast, eggs and Irish bacon. Cafe was on the stove top as well brewing nicely and I must say it was a damn fine symphony of smells as I walked in.

Hit the steam and then showered, shaved and sat down to breakfast while reading the WSJ. Got some more coffee and then headed out to the balcony to greet the sunrise with an Untold Story Maddie. A perfect combination to watch the sun over the Atlantic, as gorgeous blue-grey smoke rose up in the morning air, with the beach below largely emptied, save for a few folks walking or running.

Make it a great day gents.

Well good morning all and yes, the coffee is on. We had a great time last night at Schlesinger's Cigar Bar seeing old friends and meeting a few new ones as well. Well, the Yankees lost again last night 4 - 2 and this road trip was a 3 - 7 win / loss relationship. They are off tonight and play the Royales in the Bronk Friday evening with a 1905 (7:05pm) start time. Anyway, I've been busy watchin' the Olympics and some of the action is incredable. I hope everyone has a great day and get to enjoy a favorite or two or........ :)

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is brewin'. It should be a nice day weather wise so Beth and I will most likely be headin' over to West Point to partake in thier yearly "Hog Wild" pig roast. The price is $10 a person and it's all you can eat and drink to include beer and wine and all the other extras, i.e., potatoe salad, baked beans, etc. Here is the link and the location is Round Pond Rec Area: http://www.westpointmwr.com/hog_party_flyer_08.pdf. I'll be sure to bring a few primo sticks as it will be a great day to smoke ceegars as well. Well the Yankees lost another close one last night but on the other hand, it was good to see Michael Phelps get another Gold Medal. I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys it to the fulliest........ :)

Good morning all, the El Pico espresso is on and kickin'. It was good to see the Yankees win yesterday in the 13th inning and congratulations to Michael Phelps for getting his 8th Gold Medal and surpassing Mark Spitz record of 7 gold in a single Olympic year. The Pig Roast was great, excellent food, cold beer and primo sticks were being smoked all day. Today, the Yankees are back at as well as the NASCAR drivers in Michigan and the Olympics still hot and heavy. I hope everyone has a Super Sunday and enjoys a few of your favorites....... :)

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on. Well, it was another home run derby in the Bronx yesterday as the Yankees beat the Royals 15 - 6. Moose got his 16th win of the season and for the full story, look here:

On another note, Army has it's football season opener in less than 2 week and it's home versus Temple on the 29th (Friday night) which should be a great game. For the full schedule, I've attached the link from goarmysports:

Well, we went to Schlesinger's last night and enjoyed the all you can eat BBQ which includes ribs, chicken, burgers, dogs, peal and eat shrimp, corn on the cob, beans, garlic mash potatoes along with all the condiments and salad stuff. Afterwards, we kicked back and smoked a couple of Gurkha cigars where I enjoyed a Signature Black 1887. When we got home, I watched female beach volleyball match between USA and Brazil and USA smoked em'. Wednesday is the final match to see who gets the Gold, for the full story and photos look here:

Good Morning Charlie! Its good to see your keeping up this long running tradition. Well I am back and looking forward to some good reading. Hope all is well with you. Had to do some Mayor duties this morning with the City Manager so I am a little late.

I know this will be a tough weekend but I will be thinking of all of you S/BOTL on Saturday evening when I light up something special in Tom's honor.

Hapy smokes to all you out there.

Tonight the big boys (Sprint Cup series) race as well and Bristol Motor Speedway puts on a great show.

Today will be the services for our dear friend Tom and afterwards we will head back to their house for one last cigar in honor of a great man. I will pass on to the family all the kind words you all said and I know there will be a lot of S / BOTL firing one up last cigar for Tom. I hope you all have a great Saturday and enjoy......... :)

Good morning all, the El Pico espresso is on. As it was stated, not a dry eye in the house. We had a good "Nosh" afterwards and smoked a few primo cigars in Tom's honor. Rest in peace brother.

Well, it was good to hear that the Yankees won and hopefully they can get back on that winning streak that they do every year about this time. Today will be a relaxing one enjoying a little BBQ and hopefully catching the Bombers on the TV. I wish everyone a good Sunday and enjoy........ :)

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on. It was good to see the Yankees win another one in fashonable style. Next, we play the Red Sox here in the Bronx startin' tomorrow at 1905 (7:05pm) with Pettitte on the mound taking on Tim Wakefield. Also, Army has their 1st football game this Friday night here at West Point with a scheduled kick off time of 1900 (7pm). They take on Temple which should be a good match up for the season opener. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great week and enjoys a couple of your favorites along the way....... :)

Good morning all and Happy Hump Day. The coffee is on and it looks like bagels are on this morning's breakfast menu. Well, last night's Yankees vs. Red Sox game was a downer. Boston won 7 - 3 and the two teams will be back at it tonight starting at 1905 (7:05pm) with Sidney Ponson scheduled to start for the Bombers. Hopefully the bats will be more alive for New York and we take the game from Boston. I hope everyone has a great day and smokes a favorite or two or........ :)
