Good morning all and as always, the coffee is on. Well, after last night's butt kicking from the Sox, I think that the Yankees chances to make the playoffs are slim to none. I know that there still a month to go but from they're recent showings, it doesn't look good. I just keep my fingers crossed to see a miracle finish and a wild card chance to make it to the playoffs. Anyway, since today is Thursday, we'll be at Schlesinger's Cigar Bar / Hudson valley Cigars tonight enjoying primo stogies and exchanging the past weeks experiences. If your close by and have nothing to do, come on by and join in on the fun. If not, I hope you get to enjoy a few of your favorites as well.......... :)

Good morning all and TGIF!!!! Well, tonight right here at West Point, Army has their opening football game of the season and it's against Temple. The weather is looking favorable and the team looks ready as well:

The Yankees take on the Toronto Blue Jays tonight as well with the 1st pitch at 1905 (7:05pm) with Carl Pavano on the mound for the Bombers. I'd like to see the Yankees get a nice winning streak and finish in style and make the wild card to the playoffs as they do every year especially since this is the last year they play in the ole' Yankees stadium. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great weekend and gets to enjoy a few of their favorites........ :)

GO ARMY!!!!!

Good morning everyone and yes, the joe is brewin'. Well, Army lost their season opener last night but Coach Brock is still saying that the new option-based offense will win this season. They take on New Hampshire next saturday here at West Point at 1300 (1pm) which will hopefully turn around and be a win for the Black Knights. Besides that, the Yankees won last night as well as the Mets. Today is a day packed full of sports to include a ton of college football, NASCAR and baseball. I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys........... :)

Good morning all, I have a fresh pot of El Pico Espresso on and I'm not sure as to what will be this morning's breakfast. It looks like it will be a great weather day today as we are planning to go to the Black Forest Mill October Fest this afternoon.

Good morning all and yes, the joe is brewin'. Well, the it was a great 3 day weekend with the weather cooperating very nicely. There was some great baseball, college football, NASCAR and of course some primo cigars that went up in smoke. I hope everyone has a great week and gets to enjoy a few of your favorites through out it....... :)

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on as always. Well, it was good to see the Yankees win last night over the Rays and hopefully they keep it up from now through the end of the season to have any chance to make the playoffs. The Moose got his 17th win of the season and A-Rod hit his 548th career homer tying Mike Schmidt's record for 12th all-timers. For the complete story, look here:

The two teams will be back at it tonight at 1910 (7:10pm) as well as tomorrow evening at the same time. Anyway, today is the Torano cigar event at Sanj's Smoke Shop in Bloomfield, NJ from 5 to 8pm and the man himself (Charlie Torano) will be there. I hope that a number of the local S/BOTL can attend and it would be great to herf with you all again since the summer is coming to an end. Here is a link to the thread with all the information:

Enjoy your Hump Day and smoke a favorite or two if you get the time....... :)

Good morning all and yes, the joe is brewin'. We had a great time last night at Sanj's Smoke shop and sit back with Steve (TOJE), Charlie Torano, Bruce Lewis, my buddy Bill (Bravo Lima) and all the regulars in the Bloomfield, NJ area. Safe travels to all and thanks to everyone for putting together another great event. Also, it was good to see the Yankees win last night again and as I stated yesterday, let's keep it up through out September. A-Rod hit his 549th homer to help the Bombers to a 8 - 4 victory and he also made history with the 1st official use of instant replay in MLB:

They'll be back at it one more time tonight at the same time, 1910 (7:10pm) and keeping our fingers crossed to sweep the Rays and get one game closer to the front. I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys them to the fullest...... :)

We have to show up at 0600 (6am) and most likely willl be there till 1800 (6pm) or later. Anyway, the Yankees lost last night 7 - 5 and they'll be back at it tonight against Seatle at 2210 (10:10pm) with Andy Pettitte on the mound for the Bombers. Also, the NFL regular season is here and NASCAR is in Richmond, VA this weekend both tonight and tomorrow night so you can tell that this is another full weekend of sports. I hope everyone has a super weekend and enjoys while staying dry........ :)

Good morning all and yes, the El Pico espresso is on. The Army vs. New Hampshire football game is still on even with the weather advisory of heavy winds, major down pour and within the bands lighting and thunder. We have to open up the Emergency Operation Center by 0600 (6am) so I'll be leaving out of here pretty soon. I hope everyone has a great day and GO ARMY........ :)

Good morning all, the coffee is on and here's to a new week. Yesterday was a complete sports day filled with football, NASCAR and baseball. The Eagles won, the top twelve racers are locked in for the Race for the Chase (NASCAR's version of the playoffs) and the Yankees lost 4 - 2. Tonight, we'll have the Vikings taking on the Packers in Monday Night Football while the Yankees take on the Angles in Anaheim. Well, I hope you all have a good one and enjoy....... :)

Good morning all and yes, the joe is brewin'. Well, last night's Packers vs. Vikings game was the prettiest but Green Bay won it 24 - 19. I didn't stay up to watch the 2nd game or the Yankees vs. the Angels match up, but the Denver beat Oakland 41 - 14 and the Yankees lost another one 12 - 1. The Bombers will be back at it tonight in Anaheim at 2205 (10:05) and hopefully they can turn the score arond for a change. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great Tuesday and gets to enjoy a favorite or two or.......... :)

Good morning all and Happy Hump Day!!!!!! The coffee is on and it looks like bagels are on this morning's breakfast menu. Well, the Yankees won last night but as the anouncer stated, it doesn't look like the Bombers will be making the playoffs this year. All they can do now is upset another teams chances of making it and have a good September run winnings. Well, I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys........ :)

Send some of that Java my way, mine ain't workin'.

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on. Well, the Yankees lost another match up yesterday against the Angels 4 - 2. You can stick a fork in it as they are done for this season. Oh well, there's always 2009 to look forward to and they'll be in a new stadium then. Anyway, today being Thursday, we'll be at Schlesinger's Cigar Bar / Hudson Valley Cigars this evening enjoying primo sticks and talking big fishing stories. If your close by and your free this evening, stop on by and join in on the fun. If not, I hope you enjoy yourselves as well and smoke a primo stick or two........ :)

Good morning all and TGIF!!!! The coffee is on and it looks like a nice tray of cinnabuns that Beth picked up yesterday will be going with me to the office today for breakfast. Well, we had a great time a Schlesinger's Cigar Bar / Hudson Valley Cigars last night with the regular Thursday night S / BOTL showing up and a few new ones as well. With no local baseball on the tube, the jokes and stories were excellent. I wish everyone has a super weekend and you get to smoke a few of your favorites through out it....... :)

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on. Well, the Yankees vs. Rays game yesterday was rained out so today they will play a day / night double header. Also Today, there's a number of great college football games on as well as the NASCAR Nationwide Series (formaly called the Busch Series) this afternoon. I hope everyone has a super Saturday and enjoys a few of your favorites......... :)

Good morning everyone and as always, the joe is brewin'. Yesterday was a nice relaxing day with a stop at Hudson Valley Cigars http://www.hudsonvalleycigars.com/ where I very much enjoyed for a good 2 hour cigar (CAO Brazilia Anaconda - 8 x 58). All the while, the Yankees split a day night double header and will play the Rays agian today at 1305 (1:05pm) right here in the Bronx at Yankees Stadium. Also today is the 1st race of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Series Championship. The guys are racing up in Loudon, NH and hopefully they get the race in and it doesn't get rain delayed. I hope all of you have a great day and relax with a favorite or two or........ :)

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on. Well, it was good to see the bats working for the Yankees yesterday as they beat the Rays 8-4 and to top it all off, Derek Jeter got his 1,269th hit at Yankee Stadium, tying Lou Gehrig's all-time record. He has 7 games to go ahead and I'm sure that will happen soon. For the full story of the day to include A-Rod's gram slam, go here: http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/news/gameda...sp&c_id=nyy
Also, Greg Biffle won the 1st of 10 races in the Chase to the Sprint Cup Championship in the elite NASCAR series. Dale Jr. finished 5th and is tied for 4th place only 50 points behind leaders Carl Edwards and Jimmie Johnson who are tied for 1st.
