Take your time Joe I'm just busting your balls. We are in no rush and life is more important than a pass buddy.

Joe, I think they look good. In light of the previous pricing discussion (which was very educational, thanks guys), I'd like to hear some discussion on the QdO Panatela since it was discontinued in 2010 and I cannot find any pricing... not because I am questioning the trade, just for the learning curve. How does the discontinuation affect the cigars trade value vs. a stick that is still in production?

Joe, these went out today, tracking number 9405511899560678555666, you should have them by Friday.

I am waiting on the discussion on that one as well. I found pricing on it in 2 places, which were wildly different(but no mention of years). So, I took an average and tried it find something both a little higher in the off-the-shelf price and slightly older to compensate. I could easily be way off.

Great questions and I'm a bigger noob than everyone in the pass so I have no clue. I'm hoping Jonesy or Gary can give us a lesson or two. The age matches up nice but clearly the Upmann is still manufactured and easy to get even those 05's

Discontinued for discontinued makes sense, just like rare for rare.

Discontinued for discontinued - usually.

I agree with Gary.

Joe, another palm tree cigar would've been better in my opinion but we've already allowed Charley to put in a H. Upmann Royale Robusto for for a R&J Wide Churchill so it's only fair for you to do the same. I feel that the fact that it has some age on it makes up for it being a LCDH release.

Too late now but maybe Paul should've clarified this in the initial instructions to include a LCDH for LCDH.

The rest are pretty spot on in my opinion.

On another note it would also be nice for us to try matching years or at least dropping one year down at a time. When you're dropping 2 and 3 years down, it's going to make it tough as we go down this line. Before you know it we'll be down in the low 2000's ;)

Gary, do you then try and factor some pricing into the trade equation as well?

Some. In this case it's more rarity-discontinued.

Depends on the pass host / board.

For some reason my "quote" feature isn't working on this pc.

I've got a bad tell in most passes. The farther down on the list of P/Ts, the less confident I feel on my choices.

The Trinidad is not a LCDH, but I'd hoped they had similar production numbers. I didn't find any in my searching, so that was an assumption. Its an uncommon cigar and with the age I thought it'd be close. If anyone knows what the production count was on these I'd really like to know for future reference. If its unknown or higher than the Upmann, I'd prefer to drop the trade.

I'm not quite sure I understand the fascination you guys have with only allowing a same for same trade. Just because something is an LCDH DOES NOT MEAN you have to trade another LCDH to take it unless it specific to the rules. Same goes for EL/EL, RE/RE, etc...This is just common passing sense guys. You're starting up the same discussion we just got done with on Bills trades. Hell, if I wanted to take a HdM Grand Epicure LE 2013 and put in a 2001 H.U. Winnie, you're going to tell me I can't make that trade because it's a regular production cigar for an LE?? That's ludicrous. The more you host, the more you know. The more you pass the more you know. You guys are bringing up good points, but are complicating this pass way to much....especially when you've got a first time host and a multitude of first time passers.

This trade goes back to our last discussion. You either have to equal it in rarity or you have to make up for it in either age or price.

Jonesy you make absolute sense on the LCDH releases.

And no I would not allow you to trade an 01 Sir Winnie for a HdM Gram Epi because I would be all over PM trying to get that one off you!
