Hell if i know! I am telling you the lady pulled out a measuring tape and everything. I not sure she knew how to read the numbers on it but she certainly pulled it out.

Hi everyone. Been a little busy with the kids and holidays. Hopefully, I will be able to post a little more now that everything is over and getting back to normal.

I haven't posted anything with my hardware so here is a little of my collection.

Years ago I was starting to get involved with metallic silhouette shooting. These are the guns I used. The top one is a Remington XP100 in 7mm BR. Sweet shooting gun. The lower is a Thompson Center Contender in .357 Maximum. Talk about a worthless cartridge. It is a .357 Mag stretched out and loaded a little hotter. Cases would never extract properly and had to be driven out from the muzzle. I used standard .357 Mag ammo and it shoots very nicely. No extraction problems or anything.

I’ll see if I can post a few more pictures in a few days.

Very nice shooters there! Look very interesting. I imagine they are fun to plink around with!

Anyways, just wanted to make sure all was well!

Also, what is everyone's opinion on pistol grips for shotguns? I know it's more common to have them on home def. guns, but I personally love them for shooting skeet. What do y'all think?

Funny that you bring this up Jake. I did some skeet shooting yesterday with a pistol grip shotgun. It was a first for me so it was a little strange feeling at first but i believe i could get used to using the pistol grip.

Working on my P/T's. As usual there are sticks I haven't seen in my part of the country. Does anyone have any comments/experience with the Jose Seijas Figurado? It looks to be valued around $13.44.

It's a cigar that only B&M's with huge Altadis accounts are able to carry. They are rather full bodied, with a mild pepper to them IMO.

I agree with Jake about the Seijas. I enjoyed the two I have fired up. Very tasty IMHO. Also, I have not shot any skeet with a pistol grip but I would like to try it out now that others have said it is enjoyable for em!

Pass lineup, list and map updated!

Even added a Crosshair to the map, I think it looks pretty cool ;)

So was there anymore input on the standard grip vs. pistol grip on shotguns for skeet and trap shooting? I'd love to hear some more input.

Thanks for playing along Mike! A pleasure having you play along sir!

edit to add.

I think it would be a novelty to try, but I could not imagine trying to shoot trap on a regular basis and consider it as fun as the normal way.

I've never liked the pistol grip on a shot gun. I've been shooting shotgun since I've been 9 yrs old and am just so used to the standard stock I can't get used to a pistol grip.

Just my .02

I've never been a fan of the pistol grip for a shotgun either. Even for a tactical style shotgun, I prefer the regular stock.

Don-It says you paid $11.29 for 7# 8 oz. My USPS scales say it now weighs 6# 5 oz. Almost a pound lighter. Did you check to see if her elbow was on the scales too? :whistling:

Since Brett from the north pole seems to want to play it cost me a whopping $19.44 to send it to the land of snow and sexy governors
