Pretty proud of this sourdough. Going to make some grilled cheeses later tonight.

Made pizza last night with friends. Made pasta today with family so I need a break before dinner.

Made Sprite biscuits this morning and DAMN, best biscuits I’ve ever made. Soft, fluffy and taste amazing.

Made shrimp scampi and oyster stew last night. Was so good!


Boar got me craving roast parsnips tonight. Having them with half of what was a monster ribeye off the grill.

Homemade chicken and noodles, with a side of mashed potatoes. Can't get more comfort food than that.

Supposed to be some nasty weather this weekend. Made a big batch of beef stew and home made bread to last for the next three or four days.

Sometimes the breakfast taco is just a little bit “extra.”



Retirement's nice. Get up late, take the time to make a nice one of these, maybe think about a nap later.

Well, I said I would try the soup the weekend after @Not A Nice Person posted it... that was back in late October/early December. In an effort to be prompt, I just made it tonight. OMG so good! Of course mine looks nothing like the original picture. I pulsed a can of RoTel in the blender with a tiny bit of chicken stock, otherwise I just halved the recipe. I added a lot of broth to my bow so it has more of a red soupy look to it.

Definitely a keeper - thanks again, Boar!

Black bean and corn salsa, along with a caprese salad. Nom! Nom!

Sun dried tomato chicken breast tossed with some Fusili cacio e pepe.

Grilled tequila lime Mahi Mahi fish tacos.

It was 47 degrees this morning and calm. Ten hours later, it's 19 degrees and 50 mph wind gusts.

This is what came to mind. Vegetable beef soup. A lot of it.

Hell yes! It lets you set the thickness you want and with a flip of a switch engages the blades needed to cut it into strips sized to your choosing. I never cared for pasta and sauce growing up and it wasn't long after meeting my wife that I realized its because everything was crap jar sauce and box pasta. Making pasta has become a family activity with a great dinner following it up. We always have a couple of boxes of pasta in the pantry but we hardly ever need it.

Tried a basic Scotch Egg. Tomorrow I hope to try a Broccoli Crust Pizza. We'll see.
