People make mistakes all the time, and Jackski may have made a small error that can be corrected...

CW's policies do not allow for the truth to be spoken. What is beyond me is the following: Dehl's is some sort of executive with PBS, and that is an impressive title to hold. I'm a big supporter of PBS, and so far as I know, censorship is not one of their espoused mottos.

Given that Dehl's is one of the owners of the board, it's like Jeckyll and Hyde in how he administers the site vs. his duties with PBS.

Your argument essentially boils down to "I sent the cigars; he is lying that he didn't receive them (after the huff and puff are distilled out).

You agree that you received the money from atuck. You did not use delivery confirmation or insurance, so you have no record of whether atuck received the merchandise you sent him or not.

Can you present any proof that atuck is lying? Can you present any proof that he is a scammer, and did indeed receive the cigars? Does it make sense that he'd bring this issue up here in the way he has if he's trying to scam you? Can you point to anyone else who has had questionable dealings with atuck?

I'm guessing the answer to all of these questions is "no" -- assuming that's the case, how about giving him the benefit of the doubt, and making good on the trade by resending (insured this time) the cigars, and filing a claim with the USPS for the cigars that were lost?

As I mentioned earlier, I sent him an email and he never responded. That's just plain wrong....

Oh and jacksi, what Moki said, you owe atuck his cigars so you should send them ASAP :angry:
 
What Moki and The Master said in his last post. Perhaps jacksi doesn't know that Delivery Confirmation is free if you print your shipping label online.

I'll guess that jacksi has been shipping without DCs for years to save the whopping 45 cents and never had a problem until now. I can't imagine how anyone could trade on the BBs for so long and not know that DC now can be free. But it sounds like it's finally bitten him in the ass.

Alan if I had some 50s I'd send em to ya just cuz.

Several long-standing CW Members have suggested that we institute this "Protocol For Outing A Bad Trader" for extreme cases to augment and support the current Trader Comments.

Please follow these steps:

1. Email a Mod or Admin with the situation. Include all pertinent facts.

2. The Mods and Admins will review the information and vote.

3. If yes, post the facts without personal attacks or innuendo.

4. No pile-on or drive-by posting allowed.

We'll do this Dragnet style:

Please... with their track record of the Rate the Retailers room??? A true resource for BOTL everywhere?

I dont think RM (Dehl's) really cares about what goes on everywhere... he cares about what goes on CW, and that's it.

Aliphus... I highly doubt that outting a bad trader on CW will ever work... Just reporting a person might end up getting you a suspension...
 
I did do all of that and they only responded with "leave him a bad TC" and keep them informed. I have kept them informed and they never get back to me. So I kinda outted him on my own and they obviously didn't like that too much. :laugh: That's ok because my TC explains the situation pretty clearly.

And for the record. I don't want to get any cigars from him if he decides to make good. What if he twizzled them in his a$$ or something? :0 He can keep his measly money too! **** him! :laugh:

Is this just something they came up with? What's the date of the thread? I can't see it since they have not reinstated my account even though it's been more than 30 days........

For the sake of principle, I'd at least request your money back or insist that he send a donation to the Red Cross. This will set an example not only for him, but also will be a shot across the bow for CW.

One thing though; maybe he'll make good?
