What music are you listening to currently?

I wondered about the name change but not enough to look into it. I'll be honest I wasn't aware their former name had any racial overtones either. Then again if I were going to name my band something a quick Google beforehand probably wouldn't be a bad idea either. At any rate they have some pretty catchy tunes and did a decent job of covering The Band's Ophelia. I know, they aren't fit to lick Levon's shoes, but a decent cover all the same.

They put out, I think, three albums. Giddens broke up the band to pursue a solo career. That stuff is worth checking out. She's a very talented musician. She sings like a canary; plays banjo, fiddle and cello.

I'm pretty sure it is 5 albums, I remember looking them up the first time you mentioned them.

My son has control of the music today. I have no idea what it is, but it all is melodic, good vocals, etc.
He really listens to lyrics, and loves those which are poetic or meaningful. Whew!

Depends on how and what you count.;) I don't count Movie scores and Eps. So that's four albums and one EP. Rats! Still wrong.o_O

I didn't count the Joe Thompson album either, for what I think are obvious reasons. He was one of the last, if not the last of his kind. It's his album. I tried to find it on Tidal, but they get three Joe Thompsons confused, and they don't list it under the Drops. I did find one cut, "A Little Brown Jug", on a compilation album of old time fiddlers. So one gets an idea of what his music was like. More like Doc Watson than Carolina Chocolate Drops. The trouble with this line of thought is, I haven't heard the album in question.

I was just going by what the Wiki said.

It's July 13th 1969 in New York City and the following groups played a concert. Who was the headliner?
Ten Years After
Vanilla Fudge
Jeff Beck
Edwin Hawkins

Dang, I'm pretty sure I know the event, but can't remember who Headlined. Was there even more bands present, and a big Jam at some point?
There were bands every week all summer. A later concert in August had Led Zeppelin, Ten Years After and the Who I believe.
