What music are you listening to currently?

If I remember correctly, 5 bucks then was as hard to come by as 60 bucks today.

You got me thinking so looking at it purely as an inflation exercise a $5 ticket in 1970 is the same as one in the $35 range today. Concert prices have risen faster than the inflation rate it seems.

Checking out videos of "Pentatonix". A Capella with a beatboxer. Pretty good. All have really decent vocal abilities. Some of the arrangements are quite clever. Enjoyed it, especially their earlier work.

Also played my Vaughn Monroe CD after my buddy told me about all the snow he was getting. haha. I've always liked him. Probably my favorite bass singer.

They have a film on Netflix -- worth a watch if you like what you see on YouTube.

I've been looping the three pre-releases from the new Dropkick Murphys album coming out next week: "Blood", "Paying My Way", and "You'll Never Walk Alone". On the mellow side for DKM, but good stuff, all.

And so have Neil Young albums.

Red Book CD from a WAVE file. Pretty damn good, if you like this sort of thing. Chamber music for Woodchucks and rednecks.

So now that you have heard it do you think it is a Joe Thompson album, a Drops album or a collaboration?

That's a tuff one. It's definitely not a Drops album, though. If I had to choose it would be collaboration.

Santana! Supernatural, and I ran across this on YouTube.

There are better recorded versions on YT. This one has a lot of extra content than those. Worth a watch of you can forgive poorer sonics.

I know I've mentioned them before, but if you dig Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, The Pogues, etc... I implore you to check out The Rumjacks. Their latest album, "Sleepin' Rough" is phenomenal. All three of their records (and one EP) are great, but it's a toss up right now between whether I like "Sleepin' Rough" or their debut, "Gangs of New Holland" better. I can listen to both start to finish at any time.

@AVB
Got any Razormaid remixes on vinyl?
I've got lots of stuff but remixes in general aren't something I look for. I think I have one Razormaid - New Order Touched By The Hand of God but I'd have to go look to be sure if it is a 12" or on a compilation.

Edit: Its a compilation.
