The January Pass

oops, my mistake. must have been thinking of counter-clockwise then.

[that's why I love these boards, you can learn new stuff everyday. ]

in that case, w/ a maduro cap, you would have to put in something very nice for it.

BTLS: Any way you look at them, they are works of art. (Not playing on words about the woa) they are just awesome to look at, the one in my humi is gunna be there a long time.

Early Remarks: I know how passes go, I've seen good and bad, blah blah blah, but it's truely a little hard to look and read every pass, every day, but I try to keep up. I knew everything else was going on, just the BTL threw me off. NorCal is being extremely generous on his first pass, and I think others will look at that as a good thing. So good job man! And as for kayakin', it's still a little cold, and I don't wanna break out my 16ft'er yet. I call her the mayflower, and she rides like a caddy. :D

Here is some information I found on Moki's Rare Fuente Cigars website about the Reverse Wrap Between The Lines cigar that I am talking about. These are the one's I have in my Humidor.

(4 1/4" x 54), This is a Hemingway Between the Lines cigar that is reverse-wrapped with a blonde (natural) cap, ie, the spirals go the opposite way they do on a normal Between the Lines. Most BTLs have a maduro cap, with the spirals going clockwise; occasionally some are made with blonde caps, and occasionally some are made with the spirals going counter-clockwise.

I just put everything in a spreadsheet and noticed that we skipped number 33. Is this just my oversight or is it just blank?

Edit: Oops. we have two number 40.

Thanks for spotting that. I think I have it right on the two spreadsheets that are in the pass. I'm at work right now, no access to my Excel at home, so I can't confirm, but I definitely messed up on the p/t list here (when I added that second Trini). If it is wrong on the floppy too, please fix it there (on both files). Thank you.

I'm going to ship this puppy in a short while and will post DC# then.

Must have been an oversight on his part, check for yourself and see if most have maduro caps. I have about 10 and only one is Maduro cap and I had to trade it from a CF'er to get it.

David (NorCalCigLover), it is en route to you. Expect it on Monday unless someone works a miracle. Even though SJ is not that far, with USPS, it takes a miracle.

Anyway, DC# and Insurance VF# in PM to you.

I wish I could have at least seen that BTL! I swear I would have left it in the pass

So you are putting in a reserve wrap between the lines? Can I see a picture?

It looks just like the one in the link in my previous post. But if you want a picture of the one I may be sending I can take it when I get home tonight and post it then.

Would it be out of place to put an OpusX for another OpusX but in a different size?

I would say it depends which Opus are in question. All else fails, ask the host or a FOG.
About the maduro cap BTL, put it in and I'll send you 2 Fuente 858s...maduro even :p

Naw j/k, that's definately a rare stick and you should definately tuck that bad boy away for safe keeping. Otherwise, the BTL vultures (me included) might have a hard time not scooping it up out of the pass :D

Also....if you plan to take any of Ein's Trini 98s from the pass for a take...lemme know and I'll include it when I send your 98s.

Love,
Robert  :p

Way to go Mike! When I lived in Germany, I always took my tropical vacations around this (ugly) time of the year. 4 weeks in the sun make you forget the months on end without sun. Ugh! So glad this time is over. Only whish I still had 6 weeks paid vacation a year. Just one or two weeks suck! But then, relaxing with a good cigar is like a mini vacation.

Edited to add, it is forecast to be in the 70s here today. Already, at 9AM, it is mild and sunny, blue skies. Reminded me of the early mornings in Mauritius.

Woohoo! guess what was waiting for me when I got home today? no, not that, or that ....well, yeah those were here but guess again. That's it ......safe and sound in San Jose is the January Pass. Everything looks great, well packed in in good condition. I'm deciding puts/takes now and will post later.

Eins a Paddy slut :0 :0 :0

No, not him :p :p

Great P/Ts David!!! Now pack it up and send it to the desert :D

EDIT: to ask....Ree.....why you tankin' up on a Monday night?

No, not really. Well, maybe some part of it. As my personal quote states, "A drunk man's words are a sober man' thoughts."

Anyways, I'm back in school again. Just after you think getting your Master's that you'd be done totally with classes to find out you're not...sucks! So, just back from class and having some booze to release the tension and the bull $hit I had to sit through tonight.

Ree

No clue about the P/Ts yet......wanted to WOAN but it was taken. Wanted the 1926, taken......You might as well bring your bottle over here and we can ponder our P/Ts together  :p
