OK, Jay...here's some spring photos for you:
St. Thomas of Villanova Church on the campus of Villanova University. My wife and I were married here last year, and I work for VU. We were lucky enough to have a few days of absolutely cloudless weather coincide with the height of the cherry tree blooms. I took about 100 different shots, and this was my favorite.
At the same time I wandered around campus and found "the grotto" in bloom as well, so I captured this shot of Our Mother of Good Counsel, and worked a little Photoshop on it to get a nice sepia tone (and bring out the texture in the concrete/stone)
"Pink sky at night is a sailor's delight." On days with high clouds I always try to grab my camera near sunset. This day I got lucky and managed to grab several shots looking over Bryn Mawr as the sky changed from pink to orange to purple.
And since Jay mentioned sunsets, I thought I'd throw this one in. Technically not taken recently, it was shot
last spring on our Honeymoon in Hawaii (Kaua'i), but since we just celebrated our 1st anniversary, I decided to include it.
