SPRING FEVER PASS (April pass)

Didn't you already ship it, regardless? I was going to comment on the ISOM. I'm sure yours is reputable, but the rules said to leave 'em out... up to the pass owner, I guess. :)

Missed that... but you can always pretend they're not, and trade something nice for 'em... :whistling:

I'd say just stay with something on the nicer side of fair is all... Up to the pass owner, I guess. ;)

I'll put a Gurkha in for it!

Actually, wouldn't be bad form at all to put in a Gurkha for the SLR A (as long as Enerjay says it's okay)... :p

I was asked to chime in but ggeise hit it on the head. But he should be slapped for not following the pass rules. LMAO

hey guys... i don't have much time during my day... but i have the old lady waiting at home for anything that may show up. in any case, i'm back in town and will be quick with the pass (checked, swapped, and posted for review as soon as i get it).

2) NO cuban's . Because we are all new around the board

We all can agree that this is a hot topic around the board. Who has legit stuff.

Trying to minimize conflict on P/T I put in rule two.

I will say this, if you are looking to trade for hard to find sticks, you can :

1. Trade for them (but leave me something ??? )

2 wait till the pass is over and trade with me,

3. Update your WISH LIST before the pass is over :whistling:

As for the ISMO, I still feel we should not trade for these in the pass. you can gift what you want.

Did I mention B. Update your wish list.

Great questions are coming from this pass, with good answers from the FOGS thanks guys.

I'll take a slap from you anytime, big boy!! :p

Gentlemen - It's my own damn fault - I didn't read the rules carefully (gotta find a better pair of reading glasses). Sorry about the mess up - seriously - no excuses - I just plain didn't didn't follow the rules...

Whip me, beat me to within an inch of my life - and make me feel cheap, too!!! I have it coming...

Again, my suggestion to make it all right - is that anyone that wishes to take either cigar treat it like a nice Non ISOM. To me, both are very nice smokes, and (more importantly) pretty reasonably priced.

If it were me and I was afforded the opportunity to trade a NC for a ISOM, certainly, a NICE Gurkha (not one of the $1.99 CBid specials - i.e. Masters Select), Cohiba XV, AF Don Carlos, AF Anejo, AF Hemingway Maduro, Avo, Ashton, CAO Brazilia or Soprano (to me - way over priced, but still a nice smoke), etc. for the SLR Series A.

The other one (the Choix Supreme) is a very special smoke (had one this weekend  ), only because it has some NICE age on it - the price, though, is not way out of line. I would probably put in something like an Opus X, Ashton VSG, Davidoff, Padron '64 or '26, etc. ($10-15 range) and would feel that would be a suitable replacement and also smoke very comparably...

Hopefully that squares it. If not - Jay's gonna have to take it on the chin for the team and smoke 'em later... ;)

Sorry, Jay - I read this after I posted...

I really like option #2... That's always a really good option (as long as some bugger doesn't trade the cigar out from under ya before the end of the pass)...

Oh - and Jay - I think they're legit... As a matter of fact - I'm pretty doggone sure they're legit. :whistling: But who am I to say - wait til you smoke 'em... :D

Either Lee or I will take one for the team! By the time the pass leaves my house there will be no more talk about ISOM's in the pass. They will be replaced by GSWOA's (Gas Station West Of Akron)

Alright, already...I heard you, Jay! ;)

OK, Jay...here's some spring photos for you:

St. Thomas of Villanova Church on the campus of Villanova University. My wife and I were married here last year, and I work for VU. We were lucky enough to have a few days of absolutely cloudless weather coincide with the height of the cherry tree blooms. I took about 100 different shots, and this was my favorite.

At the same time I wandered around campus and found "the grotto" in bloom as well, so I captured this shot of Our Mother of Good Counsel, and worked a little Photoshop on it to get a nice sepia tone (and bring out the texture in the concrete/stone)

"Pink sky at night is a sailor's delight." On days with high clouds I always try to grab my camera near sunset. This day I got lucky and managed to grab several shots looking over Bryn Mawr as the sky changed from pink to orange to purple.

And since Jay mentioned sunsets, I thought I'd throw this one in. Technically not taken recently, it was shot last spring on our Honeymoon in Hawaii (Kaua'i), but since we just celebrated our 1st anniversary, I decided to include it.

Unfortunately my schedule is pretty packed right now. I have classes starting to wind down with a project due, a presentation to give, and 2 papers to write. Did I forget to mention that I have 2 jobs and have a wedding in a little over a month? Anyways... we'll definately have to meet up some time this summer. I'll be making numerous trips past your place July-December as my future wife and I look to buy a house and move. I should have plenty of free time then as I won't be taking classes and will no longer be bartending. But for sure... count me in. ;)
