Just finished that cigar, and it was awesome as usual! Haven't smoked one in a long time, and I really enjoyed it. One of my favorites for sure.

Regarding the BBMF/Lancero trade, I've rec'd a couple pm's of concern about the values so I thought I'd see what everyone else thinks. I personally believed that the Lancero for the BBMF was light, but I thought that the other puts and takes were lopsided enough that as a whole the p/t's were ok. But I guess the value for a BBMF is at best about $45 whereas the Lanceros are available usually for $25-$35.

What does everyone else think?

It was a close one too. 56 is the exact number of kids signed up in the mini-mite program, in the entire mite program (including mini-mites) there's over 100 kids! Someone had guessed 54 and someone else had guessed 58 so it was going to come down to the tiebreaker which one of those guessers had correct (I was #35), but Alan nailed it!

Alan, you're fiver will head out tomorrow!
 
I did my math based on the MSRP price of the two sets. The Journey set's MSRP is at $150 divided by 4 which comes out to $37.50 per. The Opus22 set's MSRP is at $750 (I know this year's is at $950 but that's irrelevant) divided by 22 and that comes out to $34.09. I know MSRP isn't everything and rarity is always an issue but considering the year of the Lancero (2005) and not knowing what year the BBMF is from I thought it was fair. If anyone else has something please let me know....Thanks...
 
My thoughts are that the rarity is a factor regarding the BBMF. Yes if you break down the 22 set per stick it comes to ~$34 but there are more lanceros than BBMFs in the Opus 22 set every time. That has to be accounted for when factoring the equality of value for those sticks. The market value for the lancero tubo is quite a bit less than a BBMF even though both can be found in the journey set and the CF 22 set. Just my 2 cents but I do have a little experience with those vitolas so I thought I should weigh in.
 
Ok...Got the pass today. Did an inventory and inspected it all. Looks to be in great shape along with the thumb drive and the docs.

On another note, what is the final verdict with my P/Ts? If I find out by tonight I can have this on the road tomorrow....
 
I try to avoid shipping on Friday since the box won't move over the weekend.

FYI to everyone, this box essentially skipped over me by location. Longhaul trips waste time and sometimes can make a difference in postage. I was out last week, so it may have been done to keep it moving.

It's because in the middle of this pass I got stationed in Virginia and had to move. I'll get this thing to you whenever my P/Ts are good... ;)

I don't typically ship on Friday either. The box just spends another day in transit. I do however ship on Saturdays. That way the box reaches its destination on Monday.

Yep, that was my bad. I didn't realize Lurch was in VA otherwise I would have hit him on the way down the east coast.
