Happy Thread

I probably failed to explain they run their own custom machining, racing parts, tuning business. I’m very proud of them, following the dream as they say. They are young so time is on their side. Just so happy in their success thus far.

And man it was a long weekend! Lol! Best part was the track saw the bad weather coming today and pushed the program to complete last night.

Good thing because it rained all morning! Can’t race in the rain!

This is our pit area. Stuff on the left is the race team, stuff on the right is the parents (us and his). My truck and trailer is in the front, his folks have a motorhome in the back(hard to see). But it worked out well for this race.

Also cool of all the younger kids that stopped by for an autograph on their shirt/hat etc. Hard to do and work on your stuff but he always finds time for the fans. :)

Those Salem's are nice rigs, we looked at getting a new 5th wheel this year and they were at the top of the list, but did a remodel of the old 2010 Wildcat

Nothing wrong with remodeling! I find myself in awe of how the older stuff is sometimes a lot better than the newer stuff! Mine is a 2020, so a little newer. But even that model today is still really similar to this one. It’s a perfect fit for 2 or 3 people, or 2 and a child.

I got a 2010 Wildcat, 2bedroom 2 bath, so hard to give up that floor plan, also no payment, that was hard to give up too

In 2018 my Daughter and started a monthly tradition of going to Dutch Brothers on the 1st day of the month. They give out limited edition stickers on this day. Up until she went to college 4 years later we missed 2.

Then she went to school...
Since then Dutch Brothers moved sticker day to the 1st Wednesday and we still go hut she goes to her school location and I go to our old one.

Today is the 1st Wednesday and she is home for the summer...we are enroute together ❤️

Dad is happy

So, for the last 3.5 months I have been chasing an electrical gremlin in my truck. The problem was that it was intermittent. I might be fine for a week, then it would only be fine for a day or so. Back and forth. But when the problem did happen, it would shut the truck down completely, like someone disconnected the battery. After 20-30 minutes, it would start right back up. The scary part was when it shut down, it was always at a major intersection. It got so bad that it was faulting every 15 minutes (in my driveway).

So I finally gave up troubleshooting and took it in. It took them 3 weeks to finally diagnose the problem. The radio was taking a crap. When it got hot, it would drop the data signal to the BCM and shut everything down. When it cooled down, it would be ok…for awhile. So I got a new radio off of EBay and put it in today and everything is a-ok now. And now I have CarPlay!

While I was without my truck, I had to drive my Mom’s Kia Soul. It was fu*king embarrassing! So, I am very happy to have my truck back!!!
