WOW

Hello???? WTF? Remove the link!

next time don't be so pointed and pissy in your PM, i'll happily remove something if i'm breaking any type of rules (which i didn't realize i was doing). I can't say i appreciate being 'talked' to in such a manner, so don't pm me anymore if you're gonna be a jerk.

WTF? The three or four posts in this thread about sources didn't clue you in? or the rules? If you're going to ignore the rules and the gentle reminders, then what kind of PM were you expecting?

I wish we could take the indyrob, Ginseng and cigar smokes posts re: cuban tobacco and seeds out of this thread and into a new one.

It was a great discussion that is about to get lost.

That isn't totally impossible. Just start a new thread and hardlink the URL's from the post #'s of those specific posts. Sort of a pain in the ass but it is an option

ya know, i didn't read the rules, so shoot me. Now i know. If i've offended anyone by my link and remarks, sorry, it was not intended. Funny, this went 3 pages before anyone told me i was breaking a rule.

And Gonz, i stand by my remarks, you didn't have to throw me such a pointed pm. Here's an example of what you could have sent

Hey Gator, you're breaking a rule by posting a link, be better if you removed that link. Thanks.

but that's just me, we do things a little more politely down here.

That said, i'm not attacking you personally, i just took exception to your pm, chief (your words)

i'm done here, again, sorry to the 'innocent bystanders'

See post numbers 9, 13, and 15...that's just on the first page.

<a href="http://www.cigarpass.com/forums/index.php?act=announce&f=5&id=5" target="_blank">Just a reminder to all. Discussing sources is strictly prohibited in the open forum. If you want to discuss sources, then please take it to E-Mail and not on an open platform. We are an international forum with members from all over the world. Even though the sale of cuban cigars may be legal in your country, it is illegal in the United States. Please do not discuss where you purchase your cuban products from nor reveal your sources. We want CP to be a safe place for all.

If you are unclear in any way, then please email us at CP or PM another member for further clarification.

Thank you,

....or am I incorrect?

I'm surprised that someone didn't point this out earlier, particularly in the new climate of purchasing Habanos.

Cuban cigars are not "illegal" for people in Canada (like me  )or anywhere else in the world for that matter.

Gator you are so full of BS I'm surprised your head doesn't explode from all the methane trapped between your ears.

You were told several times in this thread that you should delete the link. It's also all over this forum. And you've been here over a year and should have known better. So again, I'll take that apology whenever you're ready.

Just a simply question for whoever knows... Why are links not allowed but Ad Banners are?

CC,

Welcome to the great white north... I hope you're enjoying freezing your balls off :D :D

My understanding is that the banners are for our international members such as yourself. I think Rod cannot accept the liability of the site looking like it's endorsing US citizens breaking the law. And although it's a gray area, and alot of the US members often talk about Cuban cigars, and trade them in passes and all that, the simple act of not posting links to sources can do alot to keep the search engines away. Folks from up north or over in Europe can feel free to discuss Cuban cigars and even trade them amongst yourselves, but I think all we ask is that members do not post links to sources within threads.

quick edit for my failed spelling.

This is possible, but unlikely when you consider that retailers often post links for our international members to follow when they advertise in this forum.

I was under the impression that even the discussion, not just the linking of sources was frowned upon in every forum. ???

ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS:

We've seen an increase in wants/sales of Cuban cigars recently. While we are an international cigar forum with members from countries other than the USA, we advise you do not discuss sources, nor post sales/wants for Cuban cigars publicly on the forum if you are located in the USA. With the increased exposure of Castro and the current state of Cuba, it is highly advisable you do not engage in any trade of cuban related products. If you wish to engage in such activities, please do it legally. Be aware of who you are trading with. Trading with established members is advisable. Trading with a new member is highly unadvisable.

FAILURE TO COOPERATE WILL RESULT IN THE TERMINATION OF YOUR ACCOUNT!

Thank you,

Hey Gator, you getting all this? I can see how it would be so easy to miss the rules, since they are only pinned at the top of this sub-forum.

By the way, I am still waiting for that apology. And just in case you missed the part where you attacked me personally, it's right here:

While we're at it, why don't you start using some punctuation so you can sound like you are not 14 years old text messaging your freinds. This is a forum for adults and we respect each other and ourselves enough to attempt to use proper spelling and punctuation.

Not to split hairs, but a discussion of sources differs from general discussion of cuban cigars. Am I not understanding your post Mark?

Yes they are very different and there is nothing wrong with talking about Cuban cigars.

You call the way you behave polite? If you're going to get "polite" with everyone that tries to help you, you're not going to find this an enjoyable place for much longer. You still haven't apologized to AVB for your last little bit of "politeness" , and now you imply that you're not going to apologize to Gonz either (further insulting him with that snarky and immature "sorry to the 'innocent bystanders'" comment). There are plenty of other cigar boards on the net that will gladly put up with your "polite" attitude whenever someone tries to keep you from getting yourself in trouble - this is not one of them.

Excellent point - it's not that often that someone like Devin posts either.
