Pinhook is doing so many good things right now. Have you tried their others? It's a really good line up. I think I have a bottle of everything they have out, but I could be missing a few. At any rate, I recommend any others you see as well. But yes, the Pinhook Rye is great. Also, Bulleit put out a 12 year Rye that's very affordable, just a tad better than the standard, but both are great.

I am pretty impressed with their 4 grain. I am not impressed with rye either. I have a few more bottles of theirs to try.

I'm calling this one "Aztec Coffee". I'm sure there are similar recipes out there, but I just threw this together on a whim.

1oz silver tequila
1oz coffee liquer
1/2 oz amaretto
1 can cold brew coffee
1 tblsp cocoa powder
Dash of cinnamon
Dash of ancho chili powder
half and half to taste.

Next time I'll probably up the tequila to 1.5 oz and perhaps swap the tequila for mezcal.

This damn quarantine is gonna break the bank. The cabinet was getting low so I grabbed a few bottles. I’ve seen Whistle Pig pop up a few times so figured I’d give it a whirl



Update: The Whistle Pig is awesome but man does it have some heat behind it. I had to let my ice cube melt a bit before I could really pick up anything other than alcohol.

I have a few varieties of the WP and really like them all. Even the 6yr is a nice pour. The 12 and 15 are far superior. Good snags.
