What did you smoke today

Again in the sweldering heat I puffed away on a Cabiguan Guapo. Good smoke, thought it would be stronger but good smoke overall.

Boli PC with the morning coffee. Hit over 100F today, so no smokey for me this afternoon. Sun finally down passed the trees, however still 90+. After a nice meal this evening, figured I could handle a little warmth, so am outside smoking a Partagas SP 2 from MAR 05. This is one excellent smoke!!

WOW, that is hot. I am heading to Edisto Island in a couple of weeks. I guess I had better roll out some serious ice in order to enjoy some Partagas on the beach!

last night I had a La Aurora Barrel Aged Corona. This was a gift from a very generous BOTL. A very nice smoke. Nice body, with a wonderful aged tobacco flavor accompanied by a subtle sweetness. Just a great change of pace from the Nicaraguan Cigars I typically smoke.

A Tatuaje Black for breakfast.
nice smoke. I could smoke these all day long.

Mid afternoon it was 104 degrees outside. I was determined to have a smoke. Took a fan, sat in the shade, and had a BIG bottle of Ice water with a Trinidad EL 2007. Nice smoke.

Just finished a Illusione MK. Tunneled horribly. I suspected it would based on inspecting the foot. As hot as it was, I didnt want to smoke a substantial cigar.

Quite the lineup. :)

And I wholly agree. The Barrel Aged and Liga 9 make a welcome and delicious contrast to the head-rippers from Nicaragua.

"head-rippers" That just cracked me up. Must be the heat. Thanks Wilkey.

And yeah, I have to come clean...I'm a cigar Hog

Well, I have finally found 2 Pepin cigars I do not like. The aforementioned Old Henry was fairly unpleasant and the CI Legends Yellow Label I just smoked today was about the blandest cigar I've ever smoked. There was absolutely NOTHING there. Most disappointing to say the least.

It does make a good mowing stick, though, as it lasted for the entire first half of my tractor riding. The second half was completed with a corn cob pipe filled with Carter Hall sticking out of my mouth. A great combination!

Enjoyed a HDM Epicure #1 (1999) that was gifted to me (thanks BFB) while watching the first half of the Celts / Lakers

Exactly my experience with the 2 or 3 sizes in this line that I've tried. Just rough and acrid.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. The Old Henry was the worst cigar experience I've had in a looong time. Not something I wish to repeat.

Enjoyed an Upmann Coronas Major HF CL AT last night on my balcony with a bottle of Blue Moon.

You are right on the money. I was a little wary of smoking one at 7:30am on my commute to work. I was expecting a Pepin like punch and ended up not even getting tickled..... Very disappointing.

I smokes a Vegas Cubanas which is a steal for the price($6ish a stick). A great taste with a little complexity(especially at the last third). A little on the milder side for Pepin but none the less a great smoke. Very very happy.

But was kind of let down with a El Centurion. At $15+ a stick, I was not pleased. Horrible tight draw with not much complexity. I'd expect more in a $15 smoke.

Tatuaje Havana Hermosos...this is my favorite Tat Havana. I 've has Angeles that were better, but have found these tobe more consistent.

EO 601 Black Label. Good Smoke.

Viaje Robusto. This was one from a mix of sizes that I bought from Mind Riot a little while back. I tried a couple fairly soon after receiving them. I decided by the flavor, that they needed a little more down time.
This time, I guessed correctly. The flavor balanced out and the earthiness backed down a nice bit witrh a nice spicy sweetness. Smoothed out nicely too. Think I;ll get some more of these. I like the Robusto best so far.

RP Decade Lancero=Goodness, Very Impressed
EO 601 Blue Label Torpedo= Very Nice.... I need a box of these!

601 blue is good. Was yours real rich or more toasty?
I notice these do better in the cello, with little air flow, if you want to keep that direct, fresh, intense spice.

Have you had the 601 Green (Oscuro)? I like them too. Maybe my favorite of the 601.
