Thanks for the blow-by-blow coverage, riverratt! :D

Let me guess - your pretty new to cigars? Enthusiasm is good!

I'm smoking a young Monty Edmundo and the potential is there. I just need to be more patient.

It's fun to pull one every three months and note the difference, though.

After work a Juan Lopez Corona from 01 is in the offing!

Oh, I forgot to mention I am just so very pleased to be on a Cigar Board where I can discuss cigars and cigar topics. Some of the other's I belong to have turned into boards that disucss almost anything but cigars. And, there is too much drama/bitching that goes on. Plus I am a new member and only have 151 posts ( ;) )

Thanks to Mike (Mas Puros) I am currently enjoying a Padilla 1948. He also gave me a 32 and Miami but that would be for tomorrow during the NFL games.

Edited for comments....

Wow....what a cigar...can't wait to try the other Padilla's...Very flavorful. Started out spicy but mellowed out quick. Great taste of earth and leather.

Friday was a VR Famoso from 06--very delicious-reminds me of an "on" D4
this was followed by a Tat Angeles--very tasty

Today, another VR Famoso--similar experience as above (Wow). This was while doing yard work.

The wife was out with the little one. So after dinner, I was able to have a JL2 from Nov 05 paired with a dram of 12 y.o. Glenlivet. The combo was very satisfying!

SLR DC of unknown vintage. Sucked for the first 6 inches, but it was nubtastic.
Followed up with a Lucky 8 toro sized, still a great cigar reminiscent of the DL Cameroom lanceros. Yum yum.

While watching KU beat K-State ( ) I enjoyed a Stanfords 90th and a RASS... still have lots of football, beer, and cigars to go!!

In addition to the cigars mentioned above, I enjoyed an Anejo #48 and a Padron 1964 Corona Maduro. A great day of football, cigars, and drink!!

A Cuban Monte cigarillo (these little boogers are addicting!)

A Red Label Tat robusto that Kelly gifted me. Damn fine cigar.

Yesterday
A Boli RC on the way to the Jets-Giants game. Thanks Rob!
A JL PC while tailgating. Thanks Elliot!
JL #2 while walking out and some of the drive home.

I smoked a Oliva Ser. V and a JFR natural today. Both were great smokes, but I think the Series V may be something special. I smoked them with Mr. Mac at his local B&M. It was great to get to meet one of the forumites and smoke for the afternoon. Come to thank of it, it was great just to have an afternoon off work without a crap load of homework to do - you gotta love Columbus Day!

I picked up another one of the V's before I left and I'll smoke it in a few weeks to see what i think of it then. I'll try and give it a good review, as I think it is one that you guys might want to pick up a few of.

LFD DL Cameroon Lancero and bac k to bed! :D

Just a bit too much for a breakfast cigar but was wonderful.

Started my Tuesday with my first San Cristobal.

It was a San Cristobal Maestro. I've really been looking forward to these due to the great reviews it's received and of course because of DPG. The draw was pretty loose throughout and had some breakage in the wrapper, but the taste was there. I'm glad I have a few more as I think they'll improve with some time in the humi, but it's a very good smoke. A little young I think, but good.

Recently, I have had:

Ashton VSG Illusion-good smoke but I think some good age would be beneficial.

Joyo De Nic Antano 1970-firecracker of a lil' cigar! Good, but again lots of humi time I think would make it great.

Pepin Blue-one of the better Pepins IMO.

AF Don Carlos-very good smoke, but not worth what I paid IMO.

Upmann Mag 46- Outstanding.

I am on vacation this week. I had to spend the first few days doing house work (cleaning and painting the baby's nursery). But now the wife is back to work so I only have to do a few chores each day and the rest of the time I can smoke. Today, I followed up yard work with a Fonseca Serie F Toro and a RP Edge Maduro Torpedo.

Right now I am smokin' a Bolivar RC. These have been really good lately, but this one is a bit harsh today. May be my PH .

I met up with Jim (bluestone1101) today at a local shop. While hanging out, I enjoyed a RP Edge Lite Torpedo, an unknown -- except for the "Ramon Ramon" on the band -- cigar that dav1041 gifted to me, and a LFD Double Ligero Chiselito. It was a day of good company and fine cigars!
