It worked perfectly! Great way to use up the extra flooring! Woven bamboo, right? Even better it'll last me forever.

It is Bamboo. Not sure about the woven part.

Making these completely wrecked one side of the carbide inserts on my jointer. Between the hardened finish and the high silica content, this was an experience in how certain materials affect tools.

I don’t know why but I wasn’t expecting much from it, maybe the mild tin note I guess? Anyway it had tremendous flavor and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Followed the LBF up with my first ever bowl of Old Dark Fired. Again, tremendous flavor.
