Last night I got to fire up a Padron 45th anni. The cigar looked to be rolled a little crooked, so I didn't know what to expect. I was not disappointed though. This was a fantastic cigar!

Had an Oliva O maduro. Looked like a robusto size. Came in a throw-in pack when I bought some Series V maduros. Also, had a JO lancero. It drew tighter than a ... Well, it was pretty tight. Great flavor, so I toughed it out.

I am smoking a fantastic Padron 80th with my pops, some sushi and a great cigar can really make someone forget about a hard day. Thanks Dad, it has been a lovely birthday!!!

I got a little carried away today . . . guess I'm still celebrating the end of another school year and the start of my summer off.

Opus X Lost City pyramide.
GOF Carlito pyramide.

Both by way of Cigarpass.

This weekend I smoked...

Winston Churchill Marrakesh
Cohiba Robusto (2008)
Alec Bradley Maxx The Culture
CAO La Traviata Radiante
Partagas Serie D No. 4 (2010)

A Casa Fernandez Arsenio, a great smoke that the wife kept trying to steal from me, and a La Riqueza that was gifted to me by a generous BOTL. It was a firm draw, but tasty tasty smoke throughout.

Man O' War Virtue Toro this morning.
CAO Italia Cuban Press this afternoon.
JdN Antano 1970 Gran Consul this evening.

Had an Arturo Fuente Don Carlos Belicoso while out on the boat with a few friends. A great smoke for sure!!!

Poker night! Started with a WOAM, finished with a RASS. Both were superb. My only previous Ramon Allones were the RASCC which I did not care for, but the RASS was quite good. Sweet tea to start, milk chocolate to finish. Pleasantly surprised.

Nica Libre Principe on the ride into work. Man oh man! These have gotten better since the winter!

Last night I sat down to smoke an Aurora 1495 Series BME Dominicana Sumo Toro. Well constructed. Razor sharp burn. Solid ash that held for nearly two inches. Moderate amounts of smoke. Bands came of easily. The smell of the smoke was a bit nauseating and the flavors were crap. Kept trying to struggle through, but ended it when the burn reached the second band. Hope the Ecuador version is better. Don't get the rave reviews I've been reading about this stick.

After lunch, I put the kids down for a nap and selected a Fuente Fuente Opus X Belicoso XXX (Power Ranger) that I recently purchased from gmiranda33 (top notch service by the way!). Just the aroma from the wrapper had me almost giddy to light this one up. My first Opus XXX. It gave me heaps of chocolate in the first third, which mellowed out into the second. The last third was sweet with notes of licorice, I just couldn't put this one down. So good! One of the best cigars I've had to date.

Last night I had the pleasure of smoking a Partagas 150. This smoke was mild, but a delight.
