Today's Smoke 2016

Yummy. :)

Spicy with a creamy smoke. It's got a touch of leather and cedar. And a nice nicotine kick to it

I may re-visit that one. I tried one when they came out(OK) but try to keep an open mind about trying a second with good manufacturers.

RyJ Wide Churchill...I'm really starting to like these things, they may get a spot in the regular rotation.

Had AF shark with a good friend to celebrate him having a girl in the near future. Great cigar as always!

Hour lunch break at work and just turned in my last term paper for the quarter. I brought this nice little PLPC I was generously gifted in to have to celebrate the end of the quarter.

Before work I enjoyed an H. Upmann Noellas while walking with my daughter. Now I am having my last Monte Anejados while I watch the brush fire tear into the valley I work in.

Hope they can get the fire under control.

Congratulations on the end of the quarter.
So, did you stay up late or get up early?

You posted that when mere mortals are sound asleep.

It was during my lunch break at work. Between work and school I only tend to get 2-4 hours of sleep and that typically happens around 8 am. I can't wait to be done.

How was it? I have a couple resting with high hopes.

It was fairly mundane until the last third and then it woke up and blew me away. It tasted like sweet peppered honey.

Think it may have needed a bit of rest and lower humidity after sitting in the B&M shop.

Had an El Gueguense Churchill last night up at Outlaw, and had the chance to hang out and chat with Nick Melillo from Foundation Cigar during the monthly party. Really nice guy, always nice to talk cigars with someone that passionate about their business.

Started the day with a PSE2...out of any of the new Cuban fatties I've tried recently, these are the best of the bunch IMHO.

Like most Nicaraguan cigars, this blend does benefit from lower RH in bringing out the more subtle flavors. It was a revelation to me when DPG said his blends should be stored at a maximum of 65% RH. That was like 10 years ago! So I store at that RH but keep a desktop slightly below that to put my "rotation" in for at least several days before smoking.
