My question is.... Has Leebo and the community received a heart felt apology over this issue? I don't think Servebig should be allowed anywhere near any of these threads unless that is done. He's already proven himself to be a problem - and the problem was taken care of with his banning. Before Servebig is allowed back into this community he is going to have to prove that he's not going to be a problem in the future.

I have serious doubts about sevebig. I got along with him and we did several transactions...But he did make threats on a member and his wife. Little concerned about ever allowing him back. Just my two cents worth.

Point well taken, Ray... Do you think we should just let him back in after what happened? I'm not sure how to accomplish his return, but I don't think he should just walk back in...

I must have missed the post where he asked (through somebody else I would guess) to come back. If this is just a "what if" supposition then it doesn't matter what any of us say.

My thoughts on this are if people who deal with him on other boards and are also members of this community will vouch that he has changed then their word should have more pull then then a member here who never had dealings with him. Since Leebo has already expressed his thoughts it is up to Rod and the word of those aforementioned members. IMO.

And Ray, I was here when all this was going on. I do remember what happened. At the time of that flaming I was too new to jump into the fray - but now that I've been here for a while and have a larger stake in making sure this board stays solvent. I certainly don't want to see history repeat itself. I know Lee was saying what he said now months ago. As far as I know, he doesn't bare any grudge against Barney - but I'll tell you I know he's still not happy about what Barney said to him. And I personally don't blame him - if Barney were to do that kind of low kick in the gonads kinda move on me, I wouldn't be so willing to forgive and forget either.

If Barney is on the mend - fantastic! I don't think he should be allowed back in just because he was banned for a few months as a punishment. Banning is a pretty serious thing - it's the death sentence of CigarPass. It generally tends to be pretty permanent, and usually for good reason. I haven't been following what Barney's been up to since he left - other than knowing he has been posting at CigarWeekly. Maybe others can provide a little insight (except Hereshortly, of course )...

The reason the scumbag list went exclusive to CF was because of sites like Cigar Weekly . They wanted to add people to the list but were protecting known scumbags and wouldn't do anything about it. The mods and admin over there have a long history of protecting slime bags, so we couldn't in good conscience accept any of their scumbags.

If you folks over here want to add people to the list contact Ormazd over at CF. I will let him know it is ok to add them. Just give the name and the history of the perp.

I don't understand why we are even talking about this. I am like Brian, I was a bit of a newb when the servebig thing went down, and didn't fully grasp it. Now that I have been around a while, and have invested time in this place, I value it as a resource for cigar knowledge and also a place where I can do trades and be 99% sure of not getting ripped off.

Servebig messed with a brother, and crossed all kinds of lines, and that should be the end of it for him. Why should we let him back on here? Who's next? Oblik? Shuji? Eleuthardt? Gamelover? What about all the others who have screwed us?

I'm sorry, I know this sounds like a harsh perspective. I don't think CP should be known as a place that gives verified scumbags a second chance. We are asking for trouble if we do that.

Hereshortly/Barney, what ever you want to be called. If you're from Liverpool, why does your IP address point to San Rafael, California? Why does your email address point to aol.com? Barney's email address was also at aol. Don't try and hide behind a proxy, it doesn't work. There are always ways to find out someone's true identity.

What do you have to say for yourself? You're making your ban ir-reversable...
