The Scumbag List

I think the list should afford all available info on said scumbag if it is to truly be an effective list. My 2% of a buck. ;)

AWESOME.

I would recommend that the "reported by" field contain at least one username/website combination. For example we all can guess who George Geise is, but it should say (in parentheses?) ggiese on CigarPass.com or something.

Also, I would recommend listing ther PRP's email address, but don't list the reporter's email address..let the spam spiders get the bad guys' emails only.

Rod: very good job with the selection list for classifying the perp.

Also, I presume you will accept multiple entries for the same person (I can think of at least one person who screwed over multiple people)? Also, what if I wasn't screwed over by someone myself, but I know personal details about that person that maybe the scamees don't?

I'm new to this forum and was serious considering putting up a site as well a few weeks ago when I found out that the other list was not accepting input from sites outside of HP and realizing that I was engaging in a purchase from a questionable source.
This is a HUGE advancement for the cigar community as a whole and for new members to be protected regardless of what forum they reside at. I do belive that input should be restricted to approval from moderators at specific sites for before posting the questioned users name first. I always believe in giving the person an opportunity to make it right before putting them on a list and just because one person says they have been treated wrong doesn't really tell both sides of the story. Is there some type of mediating or proof required before listing a name?

Thanks again this will help deter the thiefs!

Hey when does Servebig's ban get lifted? Is he eligible for a reduced sentence for good behavior?

Well, in thread it says he wasn't banned, but next time he (or anyone else) makes a personal threat, they are out.

Since Leebo already accepted Barney's apology I think that answers the question.

I've got a scumbag to report....

Gavin Racansky - username "grac" on the CigarPass poker table. He's not a member of CP (Rod, how can that happen?) but he played with us several weeks ago and lost. I've sent him several emails and given him numerous chances to respond, but with no luck. I sent a final email on Sunday 8/14/05 giving him a deadline of replying to me by Wed. 8/17/05 before I posted him as a bad trader. Well, here it is 8/19/05 and I still have not heard from him on when he will send the sticks.

I'm gonna report him to the Cigar Thief site. Any suggestions on where else I should report him?

WEIRD. Wonder how he was even able to play if he's not a member and hasn't paid his $5.

How come the Cigarthief site hasn't had more traffic on it? It seems by looking back at some threads that there should be more thiefs, bad traders, etc. on there.

You're right, but in this thread the community called for his banning, and then rod banned him. Not sure how many people would want him back.

But if he didn't steal anyones cigars, is he in fact a thief?

Oh, he's a thief alright.

In poker, as soon as you buy-in to a tourney the buy-in amount (in this case 3 sticks) is no longer yours. When he agreed to play for 3 cigars, his buy-in became the property of the winner, even though they had not yet been won.

If this guy had won (he came in second) he would have received sticks from all of the other players. The funny thing is, I offered (3 or 4 times) to let him walk away with his sticks when I was up significantly in the chip count. I knew it was a matter of time before I won and was offering him a chance to take a "push". I just wanted to be done with the game. He refused to take it.

It wasn't until after the game that he told me he was not a member of CP. I'm not sure how he learned of our game, but he was able to play with no problem.

If he was a member of CP that would be one thing, but he wasn't and I'm just confused how he was able to play.

Thanks Ric. My bad. seems the majority didn't want him here (I never dealt with him) so he shouldn't be un-banned.
