Well, it looks like as of 4/25, the Scumbags and Bad Traders List is just gonna pertain to CF matters only. I thought I'd throw out the idea of maybe someone starting one for this board. I haven't been around here long enough for it to be my place to start one, but maybe one of the FOGs around here may want to. If not, it doesn't matter to me. I think most of us are pretty familiar with a lot of the known scumbags, but maybe it would be a help to the newbies.

Just an idea ;)
 
Cigar Discussion, and just title it Scumbag List. As a matter of fact, I think every board should have it's own. that way, if you are un sure, you can surf over to the other boards and make sure he's not mentioned. I don't understand why CF would go exclusive, but I would think more cigars make the jump from personal stash to Yahoo! Auctions there, so I can understand the fear from that board. Why not start a list? Of course, it couldn't be a post freely type deal. You should first state the problem with CP and then they be added to the thread if ness.

I agree with the idea of a discussion (pinned), but it should also be moderated with the original post constantly edited with added info.

Could be something like:

Scumbag, aka RealScum Spammer (added 5/1/05 eschaw99)
...
...

That way there is a master list, as well as a reference to the position in the thread for more info.

I would imagine the old timers like Sarge, Lee, CC, MMM, etc., would be the people to throw in the names, except for the more recent ones. Elthardt *sp, whatever his name was.
 
Unfortunately, most of the candidates I have for the list aren't active anymore or if they are (like gamehumper) they are using a different screen name.

Okay I'll start:
TexasAggie - Stole servebig's Gobstopper pass
Shuji - Failed to complete various trades and did not pay off cigar bets
Eleuthardt - Raids passes then will not repsond to emails or PMs
Gamelover2004 aka AmishBob aka William long aka Huey Long...... - Hell, he's already on the CF list and isn't around here anymore so.....
SFG75 - Put a damaged Ashton VSG Sorceror in his own brother in law's pass :0 SFG75 has been banned from here for being an obnoxious, arrogant mouthy pain in the a$$ so if you run across him on another site, AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS (unless of course you want to taunt him, that's okay :laugh: )
Phil Yeah, okay he FINALLY made good on his trade with moki but it took nine months :0 The problem with Phil is that he is unreliable and did not return PMs or phone calls for quite a period of time. Deal with him at your own risk.
 
The only way I think this will really be effective is if we have names and addresses with the handles. You can always change your handle, but it is harder to change a name and address.

Hopefully the people on this site will be mature enough not to send them flaming bags of poop or anything.
 
Yeah looks like he erased some people off of there.
I know one recently added is gone.

And he should know its not about just ONE boards traders, people have to stick together.

Can we sticky one here ?
 
SFG75 is over at CW right now...if he's done wrong add to his trader comments.

The problem with that is you can't just go posting people's personal info out in the open like that....

never mind, it's not like it's not in phone books everywhere. I say post everything you know about every bad trader, say if he owns a website, what he does for a living. The more info out the less likely they are to resurface.

I'm working on a scumbag list.

Should it be for just CP or all communities?

The way I'm planning it is CP maintains the list, and it's there for everyone to see. Sound good?

Perhaps cigarscammers.com, cigarscumbags.com? badtraders.com (probably taken)?

I like www.cigarscumbags.com myself. Has a bit more expressiveness to it and more appropriately incorporates the idea behind it. Not to mention it's the title of this thread.
 
...I've got a name to add to that list as well... Let me know when it's available, Rod. Daswede (from HP) took Knifeman for about $80.00 worth of smokes, the BASTID!!! And as far as I'm concerned - HE'S A CIGAR THIEF, plain and simple!!!

WTF you talkin' about? Eleuthardt is certainlly a thief and I suppose you may be correct about Phil, he just borrows things for a year or two :rolleyes:

I think Rod's list should include people from all other sites. I would also like to see a section/notation for complete losers like Scotty. Now Scotty claims he's "F-L-A-W-L-E-S-S" even though he put a damaged cigar in his own brother in law's pass (Randyb1's pass) but a list like the one Rod is talking about should definitely include people like Scotty (SFG75) who are back stabbing, opportunistic scum. Now if Scotty were to apologize for his transgressions fine but he never will because he is "F-L-A-W-L-E-S-S" to use his own words. At least Oblik subsequently acknowledged he put and traded fake Cohibas so when one admits their mistake or transgression, it should be noted or the person removed from the "Hall of Shame"

SFG75, Shuji, gamuhumper, TexasAggie & Eleuthardt are permanent members of such a distinguished society no matter what parameters you set. ;)
 
Jail doesn't hold just one type of wrong-doer! I say post everything we got on them, openly. They had to do something to get on that list, so they deserve it. Something about seeing your name and phone number on a page called cigar theif, just would tend to scare me away. ;)
 
cccat--like I said as I understand it.

I also think it's important to note on the site, whatever it's called, the wronged parties. I mean it's very improbable, but false accusations are possible. Better to let some people slide rather than put up a name that doesn't belong there.

If and when the need arises, there should be a "false acusers" list.

Just trying to play the devil's advocate here. I think the site is a good idea, and I think I would have information to contribute. AIM/Yahoo/IRC handles would be another good piece of info to have. We have to out these people in the most complete way possible.
 
CigarThief.com is not going to be a "politically correct" website. Scumbag, scammer and thief all mean the same to me. CigarThief.com will be a list of scammers who have stolen or made bad trades (purposely).
 
I just saw this on Mike's board thought this may belong in this thread also.

I also heard he was on the C-bid forum. :angry2:
