The Musical Cheese Pass

I wasn't sure about the Johnny O ISOM factor.

If it's ISOM my proposed put would be a Cohiba Sublime 2004 LE, if this doesn't work I would offer my wife. She is a good cook, cleans the house okay, and travels a lot! Consider the rarity factor..............you may have a hard time finding the Sublime again :D

What is the emotional value added to the wife or sublime? Is that a factor as well?

The sublime is way over the top for the Johnny O IMO. Current price on the sublime is close to 50-60 a stick if you can even find one.
 
Right on, Josh.

Man, I'd trade at least a fiver of Sublimes for someone to come cook and clean for a week. Our house has been a disaster area as of late. :laugh:

My question is it truly a cuban? Does Johnny Just used cuban seeded tobacco, or does he actually roll them with tobacco grown in Cuba? I am not clear on this? I guess in the pass it does not matter because it was put in as a cuban, but I would like some clarification on this?

Is it a Habanos by definition? Meaning an official production from the Vuelta Abajo, sanctioned by Habanos S.A. No. Is it a Cuban cigar? For all intents and purposes with respect to trading, yes.

Vegas Robaina = Habanos in the casual as well as the official marketing D.O.C. sense of the term
Johnny-O = Habanos in the casual sense of the term

This Johnny-O question is valid to a point. Let me explain: I accepted the trade as ISOM for ISOM, so for the purposes of this pass it is Cuban. The rest of the discussion is up for some debate as they are rolled in Cuba, of Cuban tobacco in the Miramar area, but NOT officially sanctioned by Habanos S.A.. ;)

Jeff - your P&Ts are good to go in my book! A bit++ heavy on the 2nd one if you are still OK with that. One question - how are you going put your wife in a baggie? :laugh: Number your P&Ts, sign the ball, freeze the packs, & upload your trcks to your own folder. Determine if Jeff can get the pass by Saturday, remember Friday is a postal holiday so make sure they will work the package on Sat. I would not want it to sit in a hot truck all weekend. I'd rather it sits in your cool home till Monday. Once again Jeff I am honored by your participation and thank you for your more than generous P&Ts. :D

A LITTLE HINT.....If you're a dummy like me and you randomly throw the ice packs in the freezer, you may end up with a softball sized frozen pack which won't fit in the box. I replaced it with a flat one.

The ice thing happened to me and nearly delayed the launch by a day. I ended up running it under cool water till I could reshape it to fit. :rolleyes:
You are on top of everthing and I appreciate your vigilance. I am honored by your participation and look forward to more passes/bombs. I swear I'm gonna make it up to that cabin one day! :D

Some good jokes in here guys! I think the winner was well chosen.

It looks like things are going nice and smooth. Seeing as I'm up after jlada, I should probably let you know that I'll be out of town from this Thursday through the weekend for a wedding, and the weather is brutal around here right now, so you'll likely want to wait to ship the package such that it will arrive in Iowa on Monday or, if you don't want to have it out over the weekend, wait until Monday to ship it. If the rest of you guys don't want to wait that long, and would rather rearrange the pass to keep things moving, that's totally cool with me, too.
 
Pass arrived. Safe and sound. Go through it tomorrow.

I'll get some very nice ice packs from work to accompany it during the the rest of its journey.

Okay. Small update.

1) Box is in pretty rough condition. I will be replacing the box for the rest of the pass.
2) Ran an inventory, all is accounted for except CigarStone forgot to update the list. I'll fix it (See #5)
3) Water pillows seem to working to a decent extent. Box is sitting at about 58-62. I'll throw in an extra water pillow.
4) I got some new additional icepacks to line the box with. (it was about 90 degrees when it arrived!)
5) The pass list with all the handwriting/check marks/etc is somewhat hard to read, so I will transcribe it all out for the remainder of the passers. It should make it MUCH easier to run an inventory.

Puts/Takes later. Maybe tomorrow. Since it isn't getting shipped until Monday, I have a while to ponder :D.
