Listen up everybody.... I know whats happend around here has made us all a little freaked out about playing in passes, and we are all second guessing our puts and takes... Hell I'm going through it right now in another pass myself. BUT LOOK, this pass is different. This is a pass of FUN. I did the best I could to make it equally as fun for each of you, as it was and will be for me.
You are all experienced smokers, cigar buyers and collectors, and I'm sure you have all been around the block a time or two. You all have a good idea of value, fair play, right and wrong. I see no need to have anyone's p/t's pre-approved by me in private before posting to the thread! Hell I'm a stoopud head- I've said that from the get go... When you guys get the box, take your time, enjoy the pass, go through the cigars, maybe there are some in there you've never seen before. Read the book, open the gift, smoke a cigar while you ENJOY playing in the pass... This is like toys for big boys! I'll be really upset if this pass starts getting serious and narrow minded... EVERYONE HAVE FUN! That's what playing in a box pass is all about.
Enough said- now lets enjoy this thing!

Well put...I think people over look the fun part of it sometimes. Especially when the stakes are coniderably higher than normal passes.Toaster said:
Some people are just trying to make a name for themselves or get passing credibility. Or sometimes they want to have a rep of being a heavy handed passer so they get invites to other top shelf passes. Now I am not trying to accuse anyone here of doing that. And I do not pass judgement if it is right or wrong or just wierd.
And it is tough for some people to pass right after someone who made a tremendous put/take. Sometimes it is even hard for the host to come up with the right words to say thank you to someone who made a particularly nice play. I try to say thank you every time I pass a box, or some one is passing a box of mine.
It just comes down to a few minute research to figure fair in $ amount. I can see sending a PM out if the stick might not be really expensive, but it damn near hard to get. But my man is right, passes are to have fun.

Well you can't really blame us newbies for being nervous after the firestorm of the past few weeks. I'm sure it will all blow over and get back to normal soon. Everyone seems to value sticks differently so I think most passers would rather be safe then sorry. But it is supposed to be about fun. Sometimes I think people do forget that.

It does not ever seem to stop around here anymore....DOES IT???
It seems as though there are people around here just waiting for someone to cross "THE LINE" what ever the hell that is. Now it seems you get flamed for just playing a pass the way you like to play a pass even if your not screwing over the HOST=(the guy that matters in the pass).
So, I have gone to one web site at random and have gathered some prices on singles. It comes down to the fact that the takes equal ruffly $87.00 and my puts equal ruffly $120.00. That leaves a diff of $33.00 that I went over. And since these styx were not purchased as singles they did not cost me $120.00, probably closer to $100.00. And that leaves a diff of $13.00. And if that is to much for you (emodx), Well to bad!!!!
I have a nice supply of all these styx and I'm not to TIGHT share what I like with some friends.
So emodx,
1. If I wanted an oppinion from you, I would have PMed you for one.
2. Do your math. (Thats not a big diff in $ in the real world)
3. I play this way cause I chose to do so....Not for the blessings of you or anyone else here. Nor to compete with any of you.
Toaster has put alot of hard work into this pass and I am just making sure he gets his just returns from me for his effort. If you can wait till its your turn to play (before you go trying to get a public flaming started for something that should not matter to you) you too will understand where I am coming from.
To make it simpler for you....DEAL WITH IT!!!!!
I know for a fact that the guy playing after me could give a rat's A$$ about what I put in the box!!!!! Most people would look at it as, there are now even more styx to play. And being near the end of this KICK ASS PASS is going to be the place to play. So quit your belly aching and enjoy it when it comes to you!!!!
Lets this be yet one more warning to you new guys.........There are FOGs around here just waiting to step on your bag and get a stink going!!! FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN TO JUST SPEAK OUT OF TURN!!!

Tom has put alot of time into this pass and it shows. Let's don't mess things up by bickering about Puts and Takes. I think that's plain STUPID!!!
