That Louis XIII has got to be the nicest "bonus" I've ever seen in a pass. Toaster has made a Cognac fiend out of me, I'll never forgive him for that

Well, it looks like the pass is about to officially end It should be back on its way to me sometime today I'm pretty excited!

I'd like to thank each and every one of you for playing in Puff Puff Pass 2004. It was a blast for me, and hope each of you had a good time too. I'm already plotting my next pass- which will be a mixture of domestic and island smokes, just not sure what kind of gift pack to include in that one! I'll figure something out! I hope you all enjoyed yourself enough in this pass to join up for the next one when it starts too!

I'd like to personally thank Smokazuna for his excellent work keeping up the scribe online- He dedicated alot of time and effort to keeping the list straight and updated immediately after someone posted thier play! GREAT JOB DINO! And thanks very much.

You guys ARE cigarpass, and because of people like you is why this site is so enjoyable for us all!

BUT, its not all over yet. Do you guys still want to do a Puff Puff Pass Lottery? ??? If this is something we are all interested in doing- We'll need someone who is experienced in these matters to step forward and lend a helping hand

Toaster, you should have the pass back in your hands by Wednesday. Thank you again for letting me play (and NOT letting me drop out as I had requested early on). The gifts were AWESOME. I'm totally clueless about the cognac, but I've heard and read lots of good things. I'll give it whirl... maybe get myself hooked! LOL!

The Gift Packs

For those of you reading this thread, who did not play in the pass- These are pictures (compliments of KurtCigar1) of the pass and gift packs inside for each of the players of the pass. A gift pack for each one of the players was included in the pass box, as a special Thank You from me to the players for joining and playing in the pass, this way EVERYONE come's out on top- Not only the pass host I TRULY HOPE YOU ALL USE AND ENJOY YOUR GIFTS! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PLAYING IN PUFF PUFF PASS v2.0

The contents were as follows:
1- The Fabulous Story of the Cuban Cigar DVD
an excellent dvd video documentary of our favorite island cigar! Where and how they are made, grown, rolled and enjoyed.

1- Cuban Music Festival concert VideoCD
a two VCD set of a cuban spanish music concert

1- Welcome to Havana Music CD
a music cd with cuban and spanish music tracks, something to listen to while you smoke, enjoy and played in the pass!

1- Refillable Torch Lighter
a complimentary torch lighter for each of the players- Hey, you need fire to light a cigar!

1- Cigar Smokers License
The players each received a cigar smokers license, with picture* and name printed on front. These cards were printed directly to PVC plastic card stock. Basically the card gave the holder the right to smoke a cigar whenever and whereever

1- 1 oz. of Remy Martin Louis XIII Cognac
each player got a 1 oz shot of Remy Martin Louis XIII cognac from my personal stash. For those who may not be completely familiar with cognacs, Remy Martin Louis XIII is arguably the most famous and well known of its class, it ships in a bacarrat crystal bottle, satin lined box, and sells for around $1,300.00 USD a bottle. It is simply the best grande champagne cognac you can ever drink.

Yep, try asking for it in a restaurant sometime. Last time I did it was $125.00/shot :0

Cognac has many different official grades so-to-speak:

VS ($26.00/bottle, $6.00/shot in a restaurant)
VSOP ($60.00/bottle, $13.00/shot in a restaurant)
XO ($150.00/bottle, $24.00/shot in a restaurant)
People who have better sources (like AVB) can probably beat these prices but this is what I've found they average around me here in CT.

Then, Remy has the "Extra Perfection" ($60.00/shot in a restaurant) which if you're lucky you can get a bottle for around $400.00. The Extra Perfection is supposedly blended from Cognacs that are at least 75 years old THEN comes the Louis XIII which as Toaster said averages $1,300.00 a bottle. I don't even know the average age of the Cognacs that are blended to make that one but I can almost guarantee there's some 200+ year old in there. In my limited experience with Cognacs, I don't think there's anything else available that even comes close to Louis XIII.

I recently bought a bottle of the Remy XO which goes for around $180.00 and WOW, it's pretty good BUT nothing like that Louis XIII!! Thanks again Tom :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs:

I got home last night to find this big beat up box waiting for me I was like a child at christmas!

The box arrived safely home, I took a bunch of pictures- I'll be posting them very soon. Everyone's play was exceptional- no joke. I'm sure everyone says that, but this time is was 100% true. the cigars are in perfect condition, the cliff notes in the book were great (thanks guys), and the host cigars were, well- humbling to say the least. Theres a bunch of cigars in there I've never seen/touched before and many of my all time fav's. I was gonna post a final tally of pass/host cigars, but its all in this thread The list Smokazuna kept up with is right on the money, all the host cigars were listed by the players who put them in (thanks for those again) which I never expected- so I was blown away!

I said it before, but I'll say it again..... YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING.
Thank you all so much for playing in Puff Puff Pass v2.0, enjoy your gifts because I know I will enjoy mine!
