NorCal HERF, Dinner and Wine Tour - DONE!

I sure wish I could make this herf. My father(the only other person that runs the shop besides me) is on vacation right smack dab in the the middle of herf weekend. DAMN! I did send you
guys some goodies!

Have a great herf and weekend. If you have a chance stop by Honig in Napa. I love the place and the wine is fantastic as well.

I wish you could be there as well Mark!

Seriously, Mark has set us up with some fantastic raffle prizes and smokes

I am very interested in getting to meet some of you and this seems like a good way to do so. I was curious if there was a list of wineries that you would be hitting up? Is there a cost for the bus? As I am new to the HERFing with fellow BOTL this is all a little new for me. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

As for now I am thinking one for dinner on friday and 2 for the wine tasting bus on saturday.

The bus is $50 and if you search this thread a little I think NC has listed the wineries we are visiting somewhere. Since this is my first time out to N.Cal I have no idea.

I'll have to dig out the dinner cost Friday night but it's affordable, plus we're outside in the beer garden.

Wine tour on Saturday is ~$100 pp, includes bus, lunch, tasting fees, etc. We'll be visiting Ridge, Mauritson, Bella, and Trentadue plus a stop at the olive oil company.

Thanks NorCal,

Sorry if i missed the post I was reading but so many.. I'll get back to you and see if the girl wants to come tasting or not.

Thanks
Josh

Time is closing in......

I have a question...Is anyone headed back toward the San Fran airport on Sunday AM? If so I may ask for a ride back if it works out. The group wants to hang around wine country on Sunday but I have a 1:00 PM flight out. Just thought I would ask........would pay for any gas and throw in some cigars too....

We're close enough to the event that I probably should start asking for drive advice. I'll be leaving Northern California on Friday morning and heading south along I-5.

Streets and Trips tells me that I should head south along I-5 and then head west on Highway 20, to Highway 53, to Highway 175, ending up on 101 and proceeding south. About three hours drive time from Anderson, where my wife will be staying with family.

Any "heads up" on roads or road construction...??

Thanks, guys - B.B.S.

Hey Phil, are you still thinking about coming to Healdsburg on Friday night?

Also, has anybody seen or heard from Cory lately?

David

I'll definitely be in Healdsburg for dinner on Friday night.

Just called Cory's cell - no answer. I'll try again later today.

I am up in the air on Friday night, depends on work and the wife. I will update when I know more though!

DOH!! .. guess it has been awhile since I have been on the boards.

Hey Cory! there you are ..... I just sent you my numbers.

If anybody is going to be around on Friday afternoon, I just received an invitation from a winemaker, who I shared a cigar with recently, to a private tasting at his winery in Santa Rosa. He produces some very nice Pinots and I'm sure nobody has ever heard of him so this is a special treat for us. If you guys want to do this as a pre, pre event I'll set it up. I'm taking Friday off so I can be there as well.

Whoo Hoo! It looks like things are falling into place. I'll be able to crash at my buddy's house in Santa Rosa. He might be interested in joining us. How much advanced notice do you need? And will I need some nice duds? Or will jeans and a T-shirt work? They just pack better on a motorcycle. :D

But I should be in CA on Friday and up for whatever. I'll have to bail early on Sunday though; I think the drive back will be close to 12 hours. ... time to look for the sunscreen. :whistling:
