NorCal HERF, Dinner and Wine Tour - DONE!

Dave,

The bus sounds like a great idea. I find DD's to be a noble and necessary thing, and a darned inconvenience for a trip like this.

Sean

I agree, having a bus takes a lot of concern out of the equation.

Less than two months away!

Another question for you guys ......

I do come across some highly sought after wines and I do have the opportunity to bring some to the dinner. If you guys would like I can include some of these in the dinner pricing on Saturday night. This way I can work out the pairing menu with the Chef and you will have the opportunity to try some wines that you may never be able to get otherwise .... lol. My prices are all release pricing and not after market prices. For example, I should be getting my rather large order of Kosta Browne wine by then and rather than sell them to friends I can simply add them to our menu and you can all get the opportunity to try some KB wines.

Hi, I noticed someone dropped out for the dinners, can i sign up for all 3 nights and the tour? Sounds like it would be a good time and I'd get to meet some of you other CP people finally.

Special wines for dinner..?? Absolutely. Glad to cover the costs of those.

Bus for the tours..?? Absolutely. Takes the worry out of enjoying the view and the vino. Glad to kick in for that as required.

Can't wait, guys - !!!

Cheers - B.B.S.

Abso-Freakin'-lutely

NorCal - I'm planning on purchasing some wine, perhaps a case or three, to take home.

Any chance of some pre-negotiated discounts for our group? Yes, I'm a cheap bastid....... :p

Thanks again - B.B.S.

No problemo, your in. Check out the thread for more information on the event. I have a block of rooms at The Geyserville Inn under Cigar Pass.

Are you in for 1 or 2?

David

Im in for 1. For the dinners, bus, tours, everything. Thanks! :) Ill book my room today.

Mauritson is in the bag and Unti said they could accommodate our group size if we do want to stop there.

Mauritson has been on my buy list for a number of years now, they produce a nice Rockpile Zinfandel, but I hadn't visited their winery until late last year for the first time. I see Clay and Carrie at Zap every year and usually just call them to order my Rockpile Cemetery Vineyard Zinfandel. We were blown away with how good all of their wines are, their Cabernet Sauvignon is a great wine at an affordable price. Clay is going to give us a tour and sampling of their latest releases, you guys won't be disappointed.

Unti is another producer that I like, and they can accommodate our group size. I spoke with Dad George and Son Mick Unti at Zap as well and they would love to have us visit. Unti has been hit or miss with me lately but when they're on they're on. Plus they have a nice selection of "different" varietals.

Two more that I haven't spoken to yet but do want to visit are Ridge and Trentadue. Trentadue will probably be our last stop of the day as they make a very nice Port that goes great with a cigar.
