NorCal HERF, Dinner and Wine Tour - DONE!

Hey Cory! there you are ..... I just sent you my numbers.

If anybody is going to be around on Friday afternoon, I just received an invitation from a winemaker, who I shared a cigar with recently, to a private tasting at his winery in Santa Rosa. He produces some very nice Pinots and I'm sure nobody has ever heard of him so this is a special treat for us. If you guys want to do this as a pre, pre event I'll set it up. I'm taking Friday off so I can be there as well.

David
David - I'm down with this. I'll start my drive from northern CA early AM and should be checked into the hotel noon-ish. If this works out with your time line, I'd love to attend.

Oh, and I'm bringing a box of "party favors" for the group. One clue - OSU MAR 02......

See you guys then - !! - B.B.S.

It kills me to say this, but I have to back out. The property taxes have taken a real bit out of my wallet, and I cannot afford the weekend. My two spots, and the room I reserved, will be available for anyone who wants to join the Herf at this late time.

Sorry guys; I was really looking forward to meeting you all in person.

Many Regrets,

Sean

Okay, then I'll book the private tour and maybe I can squeeze in one more "very special" tasting on Friday afternoon. It'll take some work but let me see what I can do.

Sean, what a bummer :( ......... we're going to really miss you but if you want to make any of the events and do a one day trip, let me know. It's only about a two hour drive to the area, we do it all of the time.

Cory, plenty of room now ..... please do bring your guest.

Guys, the tour bus is booked and is a set fee, and it's already on my card. If people drop now it means that the rest of us will have to pay a little more. Dinner isn't a problem as they'll simply charge for the number of guests, as will most of the wineries. BTW, did I mention that I was able to get us a no-corkage fee on the dinner :whistling: . If we buy wine on the tours we can revisit them that evening with dinner.

We'll also be visiting an olive oil producer at one of our stops. I met the owner a couple of weeks ago, he's a cigar smoker as well. I'm bringing some extras to spread some CP cheer in Wine Country.

No worries, NorCal - this will all work out in the end and you won't be left holding the bag......

See you guys in about a week - B.B.S.

I would love to meet up on friday after noon with anyone who is in town. I won't be able to do the tour bus as to recent life changes and still looking for a new job but would love to hang out and go to the dinner friday night and if possible meet up for lunch on saturday with you gents. Please let me know if this is ok or would work. I would really like to have a chance to meet some of the CP'ers face to face.

Josh

I gandered at the original post just now. My wife and I will be a part of Saturday's activities, but not Friday and Sunday.

We definitely look forward to a few days of rest and relaxation!

Rob

We will be there on Friday. Count us in on everything, but I may need to back out at the last min. on somethings depending on my wife. Just so everyone knows. My wife's mom had a stroke and passes away on Wed. My 13 year old son will be with us for the herf. She still wanting to do everything that we planned on with the herf. I think she will be fine if we can keep her entertained. It has been a very hard week and she really needs to get away.
