NEWBIE WAR OF 08': VICTORY!

I believe AVB is one of those MARINES that would continue fighting from 6 feet under. Just like with some of us Newbs he doesn't know the meaning of the word Surrender.

But it was worth a shot!!!

So I get home today and am promptly greeted by one of my vigilant valets. He is panicked. Stumbling for words. Sweat on his brow. They have been trying to reach me. Earlier today....senior...cono....ay perdon, pero....ay Jesus Cristo...Dios...una bomba enorme!....I grab his shoulder, calm him down...calmate hermano, calmate...lento...lento. He takes a deep breath. Then just points. Off in the distance, amidst the devastation left yesterday, is a box of epic proportions. Truly. I then understand. He then relays a story of another valet, killed in the line of duty as he was handed this behemoth.

I go to it, see a return addy from my old stomping grounds...NAPA. Another betrayal.

NAPA_SMOKES....damn brother. Thank you doesn't seem to cut it, but...thank you. Truly an amazing bomb, of epic size. However, now you have gone and done it. As with your noob brethren, and noobs before you...the infamous sword of Damocles hangs o'er your head, and it will fall upon thee when you least expect it my brother, with swift and just retribution.

"Grapes" is a true BOTL. This guy's been the quiet sniper this whole time in this engagement. He hits with no warnings, doesn't call out anyone in the thread, doesn't tell you how many bombs his crafty hands are planning, and he doesn't post DCs...





He just kills you.



I got some friendly fire and was knicked by one of his bullets. Lucky my flak vest caught it, or I'd be down. Aim better!! "Grapes," I think you might be graduating to "Archangel" or "Hand of God." That's one heavy hitting SOB to watch your six for...
 
Speakin of true BOTL, Jim just dominated me. I got back after a hard night of drinkn and found some absolutely ridiculous smokes. Thanks so much Swissy, I was going bomb you after "the wifey took chrge" but you beat me too it, bastid. OIn all seriousness, it was a great bomb, I sincerely thank you, it made my week. That '01 piramides is beckoning me already. Keep your eyes peeled... .

I just got hit by a large snowball from the Northern state. Did you relay need to put ice in the middle of it. But now I have one more address to add to my list. :laugh:

Do you guys know how hard it is to type with one hand? Well imagine that hand has only 2 fingers and you will realize my situation.

This morning I got out and took my daughter to her dance class. On the way home my son and I stopped at Sonic for some morning nourishment. We get back home and as usual I go to check the mail. I was expecting a package, but not this one. I open the mail box from the back (I have one of the mail boxes with 2 doors) and it is a good thing I did. I got the lid about 1/2 way down and see part of a notice from the USPS notifying that the package I was expecting was too big for my mailbox and then I caught a glimpse of the device. No sooner than I saw it, the device goes off. Unfortunately, I had both hands on the mailbox. One was blown off and subsequently slapped me in the face. 3 fingers were removed from the other hand and lodged in my eyes.

Just as I was regaining my composure from what MC and AVB hit me with and now this.

Jonesy sir, you a master of the mercenary arts and a true BOTL. I am humbled by your selection of me as a target. Thank you sir.

We really need to figure out what it will take to sway Jonesy to the Newb side. It would be a disaster to face him regularly.

Over the past two year's, I've had to replace two mailboxes after vandals smashed them. Yesterday I went down to Home Depot and dropped $70.00 on a new box made with 20 pounds of plate steel guaranteed to be vandal resistant. Said so right on the box.

Well...didn't even last one day. Blown to bits.

At least I'll have the satisfaction of knowing that nobody will ever take out that box with a bat, hockey stick, tire iron, snow plow, or anything else thanks to Mr. Jonesy. Brian, I am more blown away than my mailbox was. Thank you yet again.

I'm hit, but not out. Time to stop sniping and start shelling.
