New Humidor Pass

OK!!!

This baby is boxed up and ready to go out tomorrow as advertised!! Any changes or anything I forgot will have to be delt with down the line.

Some little shipping hints for you. Open the end marked and pay attention when unpacking. That way it'll all go back in the way it came out and stay nice and tight! I'm sure you all like it nice and tight same as I! :0 :D

All the bubble wrap I have in the world is wrapped up in this little bundle of joy (so to speak) so take good care of her guys. *sniffle* *small tear*

Now lets light this candle!!!

This box is starting off with a bang. One of the best selections of cigars in the starting inventory. Beautiful.
Sorry about being late in joining this pass. Thanks for letting me join in.

This looks like it will be one hell of a pass. Great passers, unbeatable line-up of passers actually, great selection of cigars. Yeah baby, bring it on! Thanks for having me bro!

Sam

I have a question for ya, why is it when I flush the toilet that the water goes down counter clockwise?

Stogieman:

It has to do with what's called coreolis acceleration (which I think I spelled wrong), a force resulting from earth's rotation. South of the equator, the water in the toilet bowl spins clockwise. Same reason that high pressure systems in the Northern Hemisphere spin clockwise and counter clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere.

Something from my undergradute days in Mechanical Engineering. Based on my spelling, you can see why I got a "C" in that subject. And, if some other engineer who is smarter than me (which is probably pretty easy to do) wants to out-geek me, go ahead and explain it better than I did. Heck I took the course over 20 years ago and I'm surprised I remembered that much.

Mechanical Engineering?? You must curse in Latin! Perhaps just a local phenomenon inflicting the Engineering students I used to hang out with.

What if a high pressure system moves from southern to northern hemisphere? Or vise versa? What if a high pressure system develops ON the equator?? Come on, lets have an answer. :sign:

Charlie, just don't worry about it. If you ever travel south of the equator just use an American Embassy's restroom. They have equipment installed to ensure that their toilets flush the same in the southern hemishere as they do back home in the states. Just a little touch of home. :D

I wish I could curse in Latin, that'd keep 'em guessing while I'm blowing off steam!

Interesting questions.

If it moves from the northern hemisphere to the southern it rotation will change direction, CW to CCW. If it develops on the equator it will not rotate in one direction or the other, however it is virtually impossible for it to develop exactly on the equator so it will rotate one direction or the other depending upon which side of the equator a majority of the mass of the high pressure system is.

You've probably now completely exhausted all knowledge I had from my engineering days which I've been slowly losing for the past 20 years.

Go cats!

Alright folks, here it is. I had to stop at the local shop on the way in to have something worthy of the beautiful pass. I did the best I could for a Maddie lover. I did manage to unearth a rosado stick at the bottom of my coolerdor. Yup, only one ??? Please let me know if this is fair...

Cheers,
Dixie

Okay, I'm new, what's a "host bag"?

I think I can figure it out, these are cigars that each participant adds to the pass that are required to stay in the host bag and are intended for the pass originator and are off limits to the participants, right?

Can someone correct me if I'm wrong?

Tanks

I'd say you did a great job Dixie.

You might check with Stack first and find out if he's still pouting about not being first?? :p

Thats right cat. You really didn't have to do that Dixie, thanks.

It was great having you play Dixie, thanks again.

Wow. you're lucky dixie, Charlotte and Waxhaw are so close the cost of gas for the drive is cheaper than the postage, right?

You and SD gettin' together, sounds like trouble and a heck of a lot of smoke!!

Ah, okay Gibu, I'll play the host bag game. I got a real neat surprise for ya!!

I'm glad this was sufficient

Beautiful job Dixie. Some very tantalizing sticks you put there. I'm afraid one or two of them won't make it back to Gibu's new humi :( :p

It's looking like it will be Saturday until I meet Stack to swap SirSmoke's and your passes (great timing! ). So, in the mean time, your 'gars are sitting comfortably in my coolerdor. :)

Thanks again for letting me play.

Cheers,
Dixie
