New Humidor Pass

Hey Gibu, I'd like in if you'll have me. I got references, most notably the new daddy SD_Stack, DaveWF & Misc.

I was just looking at that exact humi on cigarbid a few hours ago, looks great.

Like SD, I'll join anything.

Hey psyktek, who wears the pants in your family, you or your better half..... ;)

So, what size of a dress do you wear? :sign: :sign: :sign:

I'll play ifn' there's room. New here but been around the block a time or two.

:D Actually, we take turns.

Are you thinking of sending me something from the back of your closet? :sign:

If you need references for me my Mom said she would write you a note! :p

When they list it as a 300 count humidor they are referring to corona sized cigars ??? So don't be shocked!

Also go down to wallgreens and get a "single" silverware tray {9x2x2 I think} It will hold 1/2lb of beads, should do ya good! [/quote]
I use round throwaway containers, press them into the foam, cut away the corners and they fit snugly enough that I don't worry about a lid or having them tip over.
The climmax site is a little confusing about coolerdors, though. How much would you need for something that holds 10 or so boxes plus baggies of singles. Seems like a 75 cap. credo wouldn't be enough?

Hey psytec, sorry if the climmax site is confusing. If I can help let me know. For what it is worth a 1/2 apound has been in my cooler for over a year, and the humidity is always on. The humi ( or cooler is about a 30 qt.). Best thing that has ever came my way.

Thanks for the info. So 1/2 lb. (or a little more) should be ok, for a 54 qt., I'd guess. I don't think there'd be that much difference in volume.

One thing I've noticed is that in my latest cooler where I've put nearly all my pass and trade goodies, the humi started out at 74%. Now, a week later, it's down near 70. Looks to me like a lot of smokes come from folks with higher humidity levels and it takes a while for it to settle down.

Not trying to jackthis thread, very sorry bro ??? Yes this is important to know. Many of the guys that sent to me sent slightly over humi % or with a small huni device. For me, it worked out good if I threw them in and didnt play with it every day. ;) But that was the hard part. Not playing with the lid and looking 10,000 times a day

OK, gibu, got more than the information you wanted on humidification? :) Sorry about getting carried away here.

We now return you to your pass thread announcer.

Hey guys,

I was gone all day and just got home.

Don't worry psyktek, jack away. I've had as much humidity problems as anyone so I'll take any info I come across, even if it means being thread jacked. :D I live in an area thats extreamly dry in the winter so I'm really counting on the old climmax to get through in better shape this winter then in years past.

Thanks for the advise Joe, picked up my silverware tray at Wal-Mart tonight when I was picking up the tupudore for the pass. Looks like it should work great. Should I be bumed that all they had was plain old white for the singles??

Go ahead and fax over that note from yo momma Joe. :D :D

Coventrycat86, it's going to perhaps sound a little creapy, but I actually happened to see your takes and puts and a recent pass I was reading through. I don't remember the details, but just kinda remember it looking really good and thinking at the time we'd be seeing alot more of you around. Welcome aboard man, glad to have you.

melski, Its no offense to you, but you are just as new as it gets. Joining a pass with your first post may not be the way to go. I, or any number of guys around would be more then happy to perhaps do a 5 stick trade or two with you. That may perhaps be the way to go first. Perhaps follow the pass for a while and get to know people a little before actually joining a pass. I hope that doesn't sound rude and you understand where I'm comming from. If you used an old username in the past, or anybody knows you from another site I would be more then happy to reconsider. Please PM me if your interested in a trade.

Paragod, your in glad to have you as well.

Here is the lineup so far I think in no particular order, If I miss anyone please speak up loud and clear.

SD Stack
JoeInvest
dixieland conjunction
psyktek (gone 9/6 - 9/13)
LuckyDawg
JoeM.
lucasbuck (gone 9/14 - 9/18)
Stogiman (after 24th)
coventrycat86
sibernation
paragod

A truly steller lineup. That looks like close to enough though we could squeeze if there are others that want in. I'll try to collect addy info and organize stuff this weekend.

It really is nice to have so many members I respect want to join my pass.

Ed and Bob, The big thing to remember is that when people send stuff around during the summer it is more than likely going to pick up humidity in travel. It's been a hot humid summer in this USA and it is going to effect the smokes. ;)

With this type of lineup, you just know I have to get in on this ;)

Count me in if you will have me :p

Sam

gibu, Can I play too? I can gather some references and post them if you would like. LMAO. Bro, I would love to get in on your pass. So I'm ready when you guys are.

BY THE BY, I just purchased that very same Humi last Friday night. That makes
1 300 ct humi
2 150 count humis
1 100 count humi
3 50 count humis

All but the new 300 count humi are packed to the top. I plan to use the new 300 count box to grow my ISOMs collection. In November I plan to purchase a full size cabinet from the Tampa Humidor Co. (www.tampahumidorco.com) that has a nice oasis humi system in it. My wife seems to think its all over kill, but goes with the flow anyhow. She says, and I quote " there is only so many holes in your body to stick them and light them before I seal the lid on your kiln dried spanish cedar lined coffin."

What is going to be the opening line-up of STYX for this pass, and when might it get rolling?

 As you can tell, you guys have got me hooked on this passing cigars around ****. I hold the members of CP at fault for this new addiction of mine.LMAO :D

Hey, if you want things to dry out, just make sure the pass keeps going thru Utah
(and you know I'd be glad to keep sending it out :D ) With our average 20% humidity, I'd just have to leave it open for a couple of hours.

And to include some pass stuff to make it legit, WOW what a great lineup of folks on this one. We should still be shipping this around the country at Thanksgiving, which seems very appropriate somehow. :D
