Netflix and other shows you are watching

Watched the second season of Outer Limits....I mean Outer Range.....lol
Yellowstone with time travel and Thanos.

X-Men '97 on Disney plus. Easily the best X-Men content put out in a long time. If you are a fan of the Claremont era of X-Men you will be rewarded with this series. If I had anything to knit-pick it would be some of the plot lines happen at break neck speed, where as if the show was more than 10 episodes or allowed the stories to carry over to the next season it would have been better fleshed out.

Agreed, for me the Gambit story was the best part of the series back in the day!

Godzilla Minus One on Netflix. One of the, if not the, best Godzilla movie ever. Godzilla is back to being an antagonist and a force of nature. You feel his destructive power, and its more than just big monster destroys city. You feel the consequences of his actions and the tolls it takes on people. PTSD and survivor's guilt are big themes in this movie. Even if you aren't a Godzilla fan you'll enjoy this one.

Watched it last night, top notch movie!

It's crazy to think it was made on a 12-15 million dollar budget. Never once did I think "if they had a little more money this could have been done or looked better."

And why can't Hollywood compete with this???????? Huh, really makes you wonder how they churn out trash a $200 mil+ all the time. Looking at you Disney and Dune.

I saw it Saturday as well, as soon as I heard it was on Netflix! Probably the only movie I've actually looked forward to seeing in a while. And it delivered! Not perfect, but dang good! My only complaint comes at the very end, after the final throw down, when they are back in port. If that was the way the wanted to go, then they needed to flesh that out a bit more because it feels cheap as it is.

Because we as Americans Place celebrities on a pedestal. Despite the fact that they are some of the most morally bankrupt people in the world, they make millions!

I watched it and despite the fact that it was pretty good it departed from the typical Godzilla tradition of laughability which was the main redeeming Factor of previous Godzilla movies.

I know it's a low budget movie, and it's a Godzilla movie, but it was well done enough that someone should have caught some really bad mistakes.

Godzilla swims under a battleship and then stands up and is knee deep in the water. It would be hard to swim under a battleship in knee deep water.

They sink him in 1500 feet of water in an attempt to kill him, he rises up through 1300 feet - 1100 feet -800 feet - 300 feet .... and then he stands up and is knee deep in the water? DUH....

Maybe Godzilla can morph from 100 feet tall to 6000 feet tall?

You'd probably enjoy Shin Godzilla also, as he's a force of nature in that one, as well. The story is an allegory for the earthquake, tsunami, Fukushima disaster of 2011. Man's ability to step on it's on dick in the face of a looming disaster plays as a major theme in it.

That made me laugh out loud!

I'm house sitting at my brother's for a week. He has everything. Recommendations for sci fi, adventure, action, superhero, and thrillers.

PS - I've been through the first 7 pages and will try some more tomorrow. I'm trying to read more, post less, but ...

A few things that I’ve watched recently and enjoyed…

1) Air - Amazon Prime - The story of how Jordan signed with Nike
2) The Spymasters, CIA in the Crosshairs- Paramount+
3) 30 for 30, Broke - Netflix

.

On the flights, I watched:

-The Beekeeper (John Wick, but they killed his bees, instead... sort of)
-Freelance (John Cena action comedy. I liked it. ISWIS)
-The Man From Toronto (A fun airplane flick. Stream if bored.)
-Asteroid City (Huge Wes Anderson fan, but maybe I was just too tired to get into this one)
-Once I Was A Champion (Bio of MMA fighter Evan Tanner. Disappointing in execution.)
