I was the one initially busting Atuck's balls about the "look at me" stuff. Hell, I used to do it to Moki all the time...and he didn't have a meltdown over it! :laugh:

I think the bigger issue with Atuck is some of the comments he made and how those were taken.

I'm am however surprised about some of the pm's you've sent good friends of mine as your tone seemed to change there....but that's my opinion. If your point is to bust some balls and joke around, I'd suggest not going postal on people in PM.

Harris - you are a respected member on other boards. Your opinion means much more to me than others. There's a reason for that - you've been around the block, and your reputation precedes you. Alan doesn't have any reputation on the cigar boards as of yet, other than what is in his mind or what he's posted here...

You also know that if it were Friday, and Atuck made some of the comments he made in this thread at the "other" board - there would be a good roast served up. From what I've seen, I believe it would be FAR worse than it was here...

What's even worse, and nobody sees the side of Alan I've seen. Apparently he takes to doing his best trashing in PM's. Let me share with you the one I received (and I've heard others were worse)...

I'm not busting balls, "kid" - I'm pointing out some of your "shortcomings" - and trying to do it in a kind way...

Alan made several bad assumptions - his first was that I was born in 1984 (to which he relishes in pointing out to me that I don't apparently don't know what I'm talking about) - and more importantly, his second is that "ball busting" the FOG's is an okay thing.

I believe Alan has proven himself to being good at jumping to conclusions. I suggest Alan spend a little more time thinking about what that "jumping" will get him in to... For a guy with a couple of years of age on, he certainly isn't seeing the big picture... But that's okay - "...he's entitled to his opinion"

But you guys are hellbent against me for some reason from the get go. As I said before, I do respect FOGs. Leebo is one of my favorite posters, I love his smartass comments. George, you know Atuck jumped to the conclusion that you were born in 1984 because that's what you have posted in your profile. If you didn't want newbies jumping to that conclusion, you wouldn't have put it there. It's BS to call him out for that and you should know it. Hell, if you had a 21 year old calling you out busting on FOGS, you'd respond the same way -- except that you'd do it in public.

You and Ric haven't added a thing to this board in months. The only time we see you is when someone has stepped on their johnson or made a faux pas of some sort. Then you're all over the thread like sharks circling blood. Sometimes it's justified, sometimes it's not. In this case it is not.

Atuck has shown himself to be a stand up guy and I've seen nothing in this thread to convince me differently. As has been pointed out on numerous occassions, by numerous FOGs, grow some thicker skin.

Sorry Ric, but that PM is not a very harsh flame job, where I come from it is pretty benign. As stated above, he obviously thought you were just a young punk with that 1984 birth date you have in your profile. When I see people who are born in the 80's, I take what they say with a grain of salt becuase of their youth.

I again say that anyone who is dealing with what Atucks is, deserves our support, not ball busting and calling out.

Ric has a very good reputation on the board, and is a well-respected member. I agree that he may not have expressed himself well in this particular thread, but he's one of the good guys.

He deserves your respect so please refrain from the name calling. We can disagree without resorting to that.
