Lee, I can understand your take on this and appreciate your opinion.

For the record, though, Atuck expressed some concern a while back that some folks might consider these as "look at me" type of posts and went so far as to ask members their opinion in this thread: Click Here

I'm guessing that if most said the posts bothered them, then he would have stopped making similar posts. The overwhelming consensus, though, was that most folks enjoy seeing them.

Its nice too see what other ppl have in their humidors.

atuck has been very generous with many people on this site...including me, a newbie.

I met-up with atuck and fetterjohn at the recent TAA...and I got a piece of atuck's humor. Both guys were great...I assume most of the members on this site are like them. I take no offense in seeing his stash (okay, that came out wrong)...you all know what I mean.

It's not any different than those posts where everyone shows-off their personal humidor...right?

I think he means no harm to people with these types of posts. Us newbies like to see what other cigar enthusiasts own/purchase...it gives us a chance to see what people are smoking...so that when we go to shop for ourselves, we can recognize them.
 
I love Atuck's "Look at me" porn!!! Damn it if he isn't one of the most generous BOTL's that I have come across on this board and met in person...insane trades and a Taboada for a Birthday present? F'ing A!! That's rad...so Atuck can "Look at me" post any time he wants...cause I know where he lives and I know how big his cooler-dor is and will take them all. So thanks Atuck for the heads-up on my next aquisition!!!!!!!

Añejo 45s are great $7.00 cigars but lousy $20.00 cigars.

Not trying to throw cold water on the thread here but once you get some time under your belt hanging around these board without aggravating people who could point you where to get those for MSRP, you too can not get raped. ;) :p :)
 
I'd have to agree with CC and Leebo on this. You paid way too damn much and it just feeds the gougers. No way I'd pay double MSRP just to say I have a box of X cigars :rolleyes:

I search all over the internet. And I don't ask anyone to hold my hand while I do it. I have seen these cigars for no less anywhere on the net. Gouging or no gouging, these msrp prices do not exist out in the open on the net. If it's 2 in the morning and I got a bug up my ass to buy something I am not going to worry about if I am going to have to be able to come up with a "connection" in order to get such a something. I don't buy $hit just to say that "I have it". I buy it because I want to and because I can afford to. I don't even really know what exact msrp is on a box of 55s and to be honest, I really don't care. I know I got these (WOAMS,BTLs & 55s) for some of the best prices I could find on the internet and I got a whole boxes worth at once instead of 2 here and 2 there with $25 of extra $hit each time.

As for as the cigar porn goes. I like seeing it from others too and wish it showed up more often. And, yes, I do enjoy being an antagonistic little **** at times! The only people that seem to have a problem with it are the hardcore FOGs. But I guess you can say that I have always rubbed the hardcore FOGs wrong of anything I've been into ever. This started way back with my parents and teachers! Didn't like people that thought they knew it all then and I still don't! And remember, I come from the old school biker world where FOGs could be a REAL pain in the ass and I always handled them fine too. I have always enjoyed antagonizing these FOG types. I try to be respectful here though but hey, if I can do it with a little "Look at me" cigar porn then that jus makes it all the more fun. I'm sure some of these FOGs look at me and my 800 plus posts in 4 months and just shake their heads in disgust. :laugh:

Many of the FOGs have been fantastic to me but there are those that I do know where they are coming from. I've dealt with it before and I'll deal with it again. :laugh: I am me and I will always be ME!! :p
