"Leavin Sam in the Cold" Pass

The host has spoken! Let it be known that henceforth, everyone will be served a nice warm glass of shut up juice... courtesy of me! :p

*ducks from all the people throwing the glasses back at him*

HEY HEY! Ya'll need some ritalin or something.

With all this controversy I did something I rarely do. I asked someone who I consider the "king" of rarity smokes and the biggest elist cigar snob I know... my mentor in several ways when it comes to cigars. I shared with him the original offer and my counter-offer.

I was told I was in the wrong. The original offer was more than fair and I shouldn't have counter-offered it.

So, when I'm wrong I can admit it. I was wrong in the advice I gave. So phishy my deepest apologies to you sir. My apologies as well to the rest of the passers as well. You were right to try and to point out I was trying to be unfair. I honestly was not trying to be unfair about it at all, I thought the cigar had more value than it did.

Sam

Hey. No fair resolving stuff before I get involved. You are all on "time out" now.

phil, i put the stuff in htere when i noticed there wasn't any humidification device.

I completely agree that the situation is over, the discussion is over, and its time to move on. No disrepect intended for anyone, most of all Melly or Sam. But I doubt anyone will take the 1926 after all the fuss thats been made of it. And Sam, You're right- As the last person to have the box- the cigar is pretty badly messed up- along with several others... The lack of a proper humidification device in there has really taken its toll on the cigars :(
Jolly- Tell that to Toaster then, I havent seen the pass and would hate to recieve a bunch of dried out pipe tobacco instead of cigars to send back to melly.

That is why I commented on the subject of humidity and the ONLY reason I did so.

Phil

hmmm. i dunno then.

i always thought those beads worked... maybe i'm wrong.

that sucks tho. hopefully because the cigars are in the tupperware, and in baggies they wont' be too messed up.

/thread jack on
oh. phil is evil by the way. he tried to sell me my own fetus.
/end threadjack.

You did good Jolly. All was well when it arrived here, and when it left here. The bag said 70 on it didn't it? And the bag the sticks was in was just below that at 68 or 69.

The flake off the stick wasn't that big and was from the top near the head. I'm sure its not a humidity problem.

You did good putting that bean bag in Jolly. If it wasn't seen I'm sure it was just an oversight, no big deal. Thanks for stepping up and helping out with that.

Sam, no need to apologize to me. I know you weren't trying to be unfair... you held the 1926 in higher esteem then many of us, thus the discrepancy in value. I was disappointed that I didn't get to take the 1926, but I was by no means upset by it. It's Melly's pass (your stick) and I respect that.

It's just unfortunate that it had to be blown out of proportion. :(

Did I miss something!!

You Da MAN jolly!

I really appretiate that and I am SURE that the rest of the players in the pass do. Like I said before I could only go off what I had been told so although I am curious where toaster is comming from (since he WAS the last guy with the box) W-H-A-T-E-V-E-R

[threadjack] WTF was I supposed to do with it. YOUR NOT SUPPOSED TO BOMB PEOPLE WITH THAT, I was just trying to pay for my shipping charges back to you! :sign: [/threadjack]

Whoa! phil ole boy trying to hit me hard there... ???

First, the bean baggie of beads was not in the bag when I got the box, it was in the tuperware box- so I put the bead baggie in the ziplock bag with the cigars before I shipped it off to the next player. Since no one mentioned putting in the bean bag of beads- I assumed it was there from the beginning from melly, and was not suffient enough to humidify the cigars, since several of them have some damage (note: some damage does not equal destroyed, unsmokable, severely damaged). And since I have not travelled INSIDE the box- I dont know if the damage was caused by drying or rubbing, however from what I know about cigars- a well humidified cigar is less likely to be damaged in transit vs. a well humidified cigar. Since dryer cigars are more brittle. :)

You guys *cough* Phil *cough* :p should lay off of Toaster. We've already settled this and it isn't like he's the only one who's had the box. I don't have any beads or travel humidifying device of any kind so while I had the box, I kept all the cigars in my cooler so that they could at least recharge for their trip to Toaster.

What's done is done. Everyone should just do what they can to keep these cigars in decent condition so that Melly gets back a yummy box of cigars, as she rightfully deserves for starting this pass.

BESIDES... WE'RE NOW GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY DOCTOR TO THESE CIGARS. IT SURE BEATS THOSE BARBIES YOU CHUMPS USED TO USE... YOU SICK #$%&!!!

:p :sign: :p

This is now being dragged on and on.

I am taking this to PM and PM only, the threads don't need this stuff on there. ;)
