It's the "No Active Passes" Pass

Hey, look everyone! Dave's getting off his lazy ass and printing up some labels! :0

Gentlemen - the order has been determined.

Not by me - but by you guys!

I know it's not cost-efficient with the new priority mail zones, but I decided to make the mailing order the order that everyone signed up with. Just to mix things up a bit.

So without any further ado.....

Starting with me, DaveWF
Gibu
Nicko99
Stogieman
Gr8ful2day
Muley
Ricman25
Hbooker
Woodman
Benjiev
SamGuss
Styx&Stoned
and finally back to me again, DaveWF

The inventory sheet is completed, mailing & delivery conf. labels are prepared - stogies are boxed. I guess the last thing is to get this baby in the mail. I'll post the 1st Del. Conf. # as soon as it's shipped.

Thanks for everyone's patience.

Dave ;)

Ok, due to my *ahem* reputation - it has been requested that I post

THE RULES

1. Don't steal my Sharpie
2. Take what you want from the box
3. I mean it, don't steal my Sharpie
4. Replace with you took with equal or greater QUALITY cigar(s)
5. I'm not kidding - don't steal my Sharpie
6. It shouldn't need any rehumidifying since all the cigars are bagged - but feel free to add some DH2O to the mini-Climaxx if it seems dry
7. Don't kid around - leave my Sharpie alone.
8. Put all your "puts" into individual bags - numbered sequentially with the Sharpie
9. Hey I saw that - put back the Sharpie!
10. Be absolutely sure to keep the inventory sheet up to date
11. Put the Sharpie down and no one will get hurt.
12. Post all your puts & takes (with numbers!) & the next persons delivery confirmation number to this forum
13. Put it back - I'm warning you.
14. Before mailing to the next person, it's a good idea to email them/post on the board here and make sure they'll be home and expecting it.
15. Do I have to count to three? One..... Two.....!
16. If you have any questions about appropriate puts, post them to the board - there are much more knowledgable people then me that you could ask.
17. Two and a half......!!
18. Remember, the whole idea here is to have fun and trade cigars - please don't take advantage of me.
19. In case I forgot to mention - make sure the Sharpie is capped, and back in the box when you send it to the next person.
20. Don't use anything except bubblewrap packing or sealed expanding foam for packing material. This means NO styrofoam peanuts or shredded paper.
21. Don't Steal My Sharpie!!!!!

Box goes out today!

Dave :D

Dave,

Just wanted to let you know I will be out of town for the start of the pass. I PM'd you before to give you a heads up, but just wanted to let you know more now that I know more. This Sunday the 22nd I will be going to Kansas City with my Dad and staying at least a week. (My Dad is having bypass surgury for the second time, but his prognosis is very good.) I don't travel much, but the place I'm staying at says it has data ports in every room so provided I can get my old laptop to cooperate I should be able to keep in touch and stay up to date on the passes progress.

I'm guessing a pass this size should take at least a couple weeks so perhaps I could be planned on for somewhere at the end? If you think it can go faster then its ok to just drop me off and I'll pick up the next pass, theres always another coming by. :D
Hey, Remember this post I made?? I'm not home!! I have'nt been keeping track because I haven't had a chance to find an isp here in KC till tonight. I have to go for the moment and get in my last visit before the ICU closes to visitors for the night. I think I can call a friend and possibly have the package remailed.

Dads doing ok by the way. His surgury ran pretty long tuesday, and hes been in Cardio Vascular Intensive Care Unit since, but he should move to a regular room in the morning. He had three by-passes, a valve repaired, and a cryo procudure for aphibrulation.

I log on more tonight.

Sorry bout the screw up, I should have just bowed out til I got home.

Damn Damn Damn - now that you mention it - I do remember. I PM'd you, but is there a chance either a neighbor could pick it up for you or you have it returned to sender?

Arrrgh! I thought I finally had this thing off the ground and it immediately heads back in for a crash landing!

I live in a very small town. I think my best bet is to call my post office and let them know I want to refuse delivery. I'll try at 8 in the morning before I leave for the hospital.

I'm not sure how long till I get home. Typical recovery once out of ICU is 4-6 days. This has been taking longer at every step then anticipated so far so I see no reason for the trend to not continue. Could be as late as the end of next week I supose. The next couple days will tell the tale.

I'm about 340 miles away so running home and picking it up isnt an option. If all else fails I'll have it picked up and remailed.

Hehe, I just now read rule 14 Dave. Dave, would you please tell the class what rule 14 is?? :D :D :D

Yeah Steve, I like rule #14 too.... :sign:
Sorry Dave, I just had to do that...... :D

Hang in there Dave..at least Gibu won't be stealing the Sharpie!!

Ok,

I called my post office, and I can't just have them refuse the next priority mail package that arrives. They said I could talk to the post master herself about it on Monday though, (nothing said about where she was today). I did have my mail stopped so that at least it'll stay at the post office and won't be left on my porch or something. They did say a friend could pick it up for me. If all else fails I'll have a friend pick it up and remail it.

There doesn't seem to be much I can do until Monday, so if there are no objections then I'll just leave it alone till Monday morning.

Sorry for the delay everyone.

GIBU

Get your Dad taken care of and feeling better first and foremost ;)

Call a buddy and have him stop by on Monday and pick up the package and resend it to the next guy on the list. Dave has made it very simple with all the needed material and instructions there for whoever has to handle this procedure. Oh tell your buddy to put the Sharpie back in the box before he or she seals it ;)

Hope your Dad gets well soon we'll be thinking of you and your family!

BenjieV :D

Benjiev - excellent idea.

Also, let me know what the shipping is from your end. You shouldn't have to pay it when you never even got to see the box! I'll reimburse you when you get back.

Dave ;)
