It's the "No Active Passes" Pass

You can't be any more "newbieish" than this but,

Woo Friggin Hoo. My first pass. I'm so excited I'm going to drool all over myself in anticipation of the arrival of "The Box!" I can't wait........

Well If dave lived close to me I could have kept him busy all week myself.
Got hit by the worm spybot.gen and it attached to every version os explore.exe in one machine, it then propigated through the network to another server.
Whats frustrating we where running a virus protection app full time on each server.
Anyway it was spooky getting zapped like that on a mission critical machine. A Keystroke recording virus on our billing machine just about had me ripping the hair out of my head. Well, it was the perfect time for the powersupply to dump, then the CPU welded it was a class 1 cluster f&$# to say the least.

So I got another case and mother board and guess what? Not even a post. GRRR.. I have grown to disslike the words RMA.

Salvaged all of the Data from server1 allready so its not a total loss, but our big clients where on the other machine. Still no word on salvage of data more news tomarrow.

maybe we should do a pass that includes hardware!

Geez, you guys are just way too impatient. :p Whatever happened to the days when it would take a few weeks for a pass to even fill up? :lookup:

I remember waiting 2-3 weeks for a 15 person pass!

What did this one take, 3 days?? How am I supposed to keep up with that?

Seriously though - I've got the cigars selected, I just need to baggie them, inventory, and make mailing labels - once I get off my butt and get started it should be out the next day.

take your time dave, we love you man. i think the anxiety stems from the same reason you chose this pass' name. there just weren't many active ones for a while. (at least that will be the layman's argument)

Just wanted to let you know I will be out of town for the start of the pass. I PM'd you before to give you a heads up, but just wanted to let you know more now that I know more. This Sunday the 22nd I will be going to Kansas City with my Dad and staying at least a week. (My Dad is having bypass surgury for the second time, but his prognosis is very good.) I don't travel much, but the place I'm staying at says it has data ports in every room so provided I can get my old laptop to cooperate I should be able to keep in touch and stay up to date on the passes progress.

I'm guessing a pass this size should take at least a couple weeks so perhaps I could be planned on for somewhere at the end? If you think it can go faster then its ok to just drop me off and I'll pick up the next pass, theres always another coming by. :D

Seriously though - It will NOT get to you in a couple of weeks, have no fear - I'll put you near the end so as not to cause any conflicts.

Sweet list Dave! Do you have a preference for site used to determine equal value (ie Cigarprice.com, etc)?
 
No real preference - but if your'e going to use a site to figure value - make sure both cigars are listed on the same site.


Now a bit of potential bad news.... I thought it was next week, but as I was reminded last night - we're going out of town this weekend to visit my brother-in-law and family. I'll try and get it out by tomorrow, but it's quite possible I won't be able to finish up the box in time. If this happens, I'll get it out first thing after we return on Monday.
