What if I'm below Sea Level, Lee?  What do I do then?

Buy a boat becausae eventually the sea is going to reach your house and you wouldn't want to be caught unprepared would you?

We'll call the Coast Guard.

Just found out Toronto is about 380 feet above sea level which means my hygrometers could be 3 or 4% off. Guess it's not that bad.

Brandon, I didn't say anything about being below sea level because most are at or above sea level. In any case, reverse the formula.... ;)

If this is true, I don't think that I have to really worry about the decrease in humidity due to the height in sea level in my area. If my calculations are correct, my location where I live is about 29.9 to 32 feet above sea level. I know this fact from the ATC (Air Traffic Control) weather report that I have to listen to in order to set the altimeter in the plane during the pre-flight safety check before going flying.

The realm of mutiple containment issues is better left for our resident expert on the subject.... :D

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. George (bill clinton) sent me a rather long PM assuring me that he is not a troll. With that said, if someone from CP wants to get in contact with George (Bill) and talk to him over the phone, than go for it. Maybe talking to him over the phone can help get his humidor in proper order.

I can't write this guy off as being a troll without fully investigating. So if someone wants to step up and do the investigative work, go for it.

And this is just from one thread.....I don't have much more patience to go through em all...

What you guys want to do with him is up to you, but in my book, he is a troll: (and yes, I had too much time on my hands this morning)

Disruptive trolls
• Off topic messages: Those that are irrelevant to the focus of the forum.
• Page widening: Filling up fields with large pictures or characters to make previous posts unreadable.
• Offensive media: Annoying sound files or disturbing pictures in a message, or linking to shock sites that contain such media. Often these links are disguised as legitimate links.
Inflammatory messages,
o Post 74
• Deliberately revealing the ending of a recent popular movie or book.
Bumping an old discussion, or rehashing a highly controversial past topic, particularly in smaller online communities.

Attention-seeking trolls
This class of trolls seeks to obtain as many responses as possible and to absorb a disproportionate amount of the collective attention span.
• Advertising another forum, especially a rival or a hated forum.

A subclass of the above is the flawed proof of an important unsolved mathematical problem or impossibility (e.g. 1 = 2); however, these may not always be troll-posts, and are sometimes, at least, mathematically interesting.

• Paramour trolls get a thrill from establishing serial online affairs with females of a group. This incites public rivalry among the women who once thought the nicknames, poetry, love statements were exclusive to them. Since the online love affair is developed separately in chat programs, it takes a long time for the online cat-fight to be detected.
• Any combination of the above: For example, a troll will combine inflammatory statements with poor grammar and AIM-speak (which is also known as "netspeak" or "chatspeak"). "lmfao u are so weak minded and predictablei thought i wan iggied i play ya like a card"

DOH!!!

I don't want to go off the subject here, but the only reason why I mentioned about the calibration of the altimeter was because someone in here made a post and referred to the change in humidity at various points in sea level. I replied to the post telling him about the sea level readings within my area where I am located. I know for a fact that the area where I live is at or a little bit above sea level and I know this from the time when I used take flying lessons back in the late 1980's. I wouldn't have mentioned anything about the sea level reading/altimeter calibration if the poster before me hadn't mentioned it. I was merely trying to explain what the sea level reading is within my area by giving the altimeter calibration example. This example was the only example that I could think of and come up with that could better explain what the sea level reading is here in my area in relation to the readings that are on a digital hygrometer inside a humidor.
I hope that this will clear things up a bit. I was just trying to make an analogy to the post that the other person made about the sea level topic that he mentioned in here. That's all.

Where is your seventh house?
If you move your stuff from your second house to your fourth house and the stuff from the fourth house to the seventh house. You;d then have to move the stuff that was in the seventh house to the first house and that stuff goes into the second house. Don't touch the third house, the fifth house or the sixth house and DONT MOVE THE HUMIDORS!

I think this will work out in the end

Well I see that Bill Clinton is off and posting in new threads, actually starting to contribute to the forum instead of being a hinderance. Perhaps all the sh!t we have given him has sunk in and he is willing to let it go for now. Time will tell.

when i was in college, i was a loser and had no life or money. so what me and my buddies who were in the same situation did to kill time and ammuse ourselves was to call up talk radio stations and see who could stay on the air the longest. it might be a sports show, a religious show, politics, love advice, ...whatever. we would make up lavish stories to the screener then when we got on the air embeleshed the stories even more to a point the it took 3 minutes to elaborate on all the fine details before the host even had a chance to speak. then right when he seemed like going to the next caller, we would bring up another topic that we knew was a "hot button" for him/her and suck them into talking with us a few more minutes. this went on a long as we could keep up the bs. it was actually pretty damn funny for us. the radio station on the other hand usually caught on to what was going on after a while and probably felt like idiots for allowing some jerk off to sabotage their show.

im not sure what made me think of that story, just thought i would share with the class. :whistling:

I disagree, I own eight houses so I know that moving your stuff around from one house to the next doesn't have as much effect as the amount of square footage your stuff occupies divided by the total sq. footage of the house then mutiplied by the feet above sea level. I learnd this back in the late 60's while studing to be a commercial mover for Atlas.
