Jeremy/Sirius - We have a confirmed addy to send to? Doing a handoff? Where we at?

Please make sure to keep us updated on what's going on. If you're next for the pass, go ahead and post you're ready.

Pass arrived this afternoon. Here are my puts and takes:
(T) 10 Cabaiguan Guapo Junior (P) 51 Don Pepin Garcia Series JJ Belicoso - Looks Good!
(T) 13 CI Legend Black Label (P) 52 EO 601 Red Label Robusto - Looks Good!

(T) 20 Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label Lancero (P) 53 Arturo Fuente 858 Sungrown -
$9 vs $4.75 - the 858 SG has some rarity to it, however enough to cover the $4.25 spread? Thoughts anyone?

(T) 43 Opus X Double Corona (P) 54 Diamond Crown Figurado #6 -
$15 vs. $16 - Good on the price, however does $1 make up for rarity? Thoughts anyone?

Thanks for letting me play.

Excellent excellent discussions! Oh yes, the endless debate of rarity in a cigar. So many different thoughts, opinions, ideas. I myself would have to say that although the 858 SG is rare indeed, I'm having a hard time with its rarity pushing it up pricewise to over $9 a stick (even though I personally would rather have it than the DPG :D ). We could discuss MSRP and rarity forever, but I think it basically just comes down to what each of us individually would actually pay for a cigar. If there were just a dollar...maaaaybe two difference...I'd say yes. However, I'm saying no to the DPG/858 trade.

I'm really struggling with the Diamond Crown for the Opus DC. I'm kind of on the border with this one. Anyone have any other thoughts?
You bunch of friggin pass amateurs! This is all cigars 101 st.....wait a minute, this is Cigar 101!

Nicely done Greg!

I got most of the puzzle done, all I had was about half of the blue/grey pieces left. My eyes crossed and my nose started to bleed a little... I think I had a small stroke. My girlfriend couldn't even watch me do it anymore. Thanks for the contest though Greg, very nice!

The numbers are the takes and puts. you take for isntance number 1, and then you put which could be whatever number the last stick is +1. Hope this helps!

Don

Thats it Don. The numbers correspond to the stick numbering on the Master Put/Take sheet (listed on Page 1 of this Pass. It's just an easy way to track who has taken which stick. As you list your Takes, the new Puts you are adding to the Pass get the next new number on the Master Put/Take Sheet and your name next to each of your new Puts.

Make sense..//??

It makes it that much easier for those after you in the pass to track what has been taken and put. Numbers also make it easier to account for the cigars in the pass, instead of checking to see if a certain cigar is present, you look for Number 33 or 54 etc..

I have a relatively NEWB question. How do you usually keep track of which cigars are from what time period. For example if I have a Monti from 06 and one from 08. How do you usually keep track in your humidor. I know the number system for passes, but not sure about humi.

I am happy to see this moving so quickly. Soon it will get to me :)

I use a blank label. I usually write the box codes on it or just a simple month and year

Or if you don't have bands, you can put them in single ziplocks (or multiple depending on how many of that stick you have) and mark the code/date on the bag over that particular stick.
That's usually what I do as I never got around to picking up blank bands and always have ziplocks lying around.

Here's what I've come up with:

T) Tatuaje Noella $7.19
P) Cohiba Black Corona $6.52

I don't see this working as the Cohiba Black does not reach the Tat. Not to mention, there is already a Cohiba Black in the pass (even though it's a Supremo).

T) Opus XxX $9.25
P) Ashton VSG Enchantment $11.47

Although the Ashton is more readily available, it's a fairly sought after smoke and has a price a little over the Opus MSRP. I would say this one is acceptable.

T) CAO Gold Perfecto $5.27
P) Saint Luis Rey Series G Churchill $4.93

Again, I don't see this working as the SLR doesn't reach the CAO.

I pulled all of these prices directly off of Cigarcyclopedia, where there were plenty of box prices to come up with an average price. I understand we're talking about fairly small differences here, however I'm going to state once again the one rule that keeps getting passed by. Equal takes for equal puts or better. If you don't have a cigar that is equal in price or better, move on to find one that you do. If you list a put that is lower in price than what you're taking, the trade will not work.

Greg,
I came up with the $6.95 for the Tat Noellas from your post #152. I didnt understand what the +0.42 was though, so maybe that makes this a little farther out than I originally thought.

I dont know much about the SLR so I figured since it was close it was ok.

Damn I have alot to learn.. :)
