Sirius, I'd have to say those look ok for me

*edit for price check on Aisle #8 ;)

Here's what I've come up with:

T) Tatuaje Noella $7.19
P) Cohiba Black Corona $6.52

I don't see this working as the Cohiba Black does not reach the Tat. Not to mention, there is already a Cohiba Black in the pass (even though it's a Supremo).

T) Opus XxX $9.25
P) Ashton VSG Enchantment $11.47

Although the Ashton is more readily available, it's a fairly sought after smoke and has a price a little over the Opus MSRP. I would say this one is acceptable.

T) CAO Gold Perfecto $5.27
P) Saint Luis Rey Series G Churchill $4.93

Again, I don't see this working as the SLR doesn't reach the CAO.

I pulled all of these prices directly off of Cigarcyclopedia, where there were plenty of box prices to come up with an average price. I understand we're talking about fairly small differences here, however I'm going to state once again the one rule that keeps getting passed by. Equal takes for equal puts or better. If you don't have a cigar that is equal in price or better, move on to find one that you do. If you list a put that is lower in price than what you're taking, the trade will not work.

Maybe I am not doing this right but I added all the prices given for each retailer, divided by the number in the package and then divided that by the number of priced given. For the Saint Luis there were 10 and for the Cohiba there were 11. Following this logic I came up with $7.50 for the Cohiba Black and $5.29 for the Saint Luis. So that puts me right in line with my takes. Am I doing something wrong? Should the highest and lowest prices always be taken out?

Add all the box prices listed together, divide by the number of box prices, then by the number of sticks in the box:
Cohiba Black Corona

191.95
192.00
194.90
134.95
134.99
134.95
134.95
183.75
164.50
1302.44 divided by 8 = $162.81 divided by 25 = $6.51 per stick

164.50

Okay I missed that we were using only full box prices. I averaged in the full box prices as well as the 5 pack prices if they were listed.

Personally I think it would work for the Cohiba. I would rather have the Tat, but it works for me. I think if the sticks are under 10 and the difference is 50-60 cents it works.

SiriusBlack - are you going to the Quad State Herf? I think Northernmorris is - and I am - perhaps we can work out our Ps and T's and swap the box out there.

I know it's a long way from Pa - just checking.

Thanks.

John

Ahh, the tracking number, I knew I was missing something. It's in my car, I'll post it in the morning. Thanks for reminding me.
