Blind leading the Blind Pass - pt. 2

Nice P & T.

Whats all this waiting... I'm getting closer to receiving.... :) :)

Sounds good and I am just kidding with my input. This thing is rolling very well. communication is the key and its working perfectly. Great job everyone.

Wow looks like everything is going great, Bluedragon I must say that we noobs have done a pretty darn good job of handling our business. Ive been in pretty steady contact with Blue for this whole time actually about a different subject (seperate little box split) but I informed him that I will be heading out of town next week for a school honors thing and that I will be back next saturday. Since I had already informed him and we had discussed what that would mean to the pass we decided to wait until we kinda had an idea of where it would be before I brought it up on this thread. The way things are going so far with all that happened getting it to shibumi my request from DG may not be that big of a deal. Since the mail takes its time anyway and since Ill be back on saturday DG if you could send it out maybe thursday so that it doesn't get here until Im back that would be awesome. I should have access to the internet so Ill be checking in on the pass and figuring out my puts and takes and hopefully getting them approved so that when I get the box it should be out in a very timely fashion. DG Ill be sending you a PM about this.

Super fun actually being involved in a pass thanks to everyone involved and thanks for letting me be involved.

Yeah thats what we figured anyway but we decided that we would play it safe in ssaying to send it out on thursday just in case someone actually got on the ball getting it to you and then on to me.

Im getting so excited about this and Im not even next in line :D

Cant wait to decided on my P&Ts and get them posted, hell I cant wait til DG decides his P&Ts and gets them posted.

CYG

That is my p's & t's but I will be adding another tonight. I will also post it officially sometime this evening.

First off, I took inventory and everything is perfect. The tupperdor and all the cigars are in great shape. Our host did a fantastic job in putting this together. I have nothing to go by, being my first pass, but I can’t think of anything he could have done to make this any easier. As you’ve read from others before me, he also included some music for our listening pleasure. My hat is off to Cory (Blue Dragon) for a great 1st pass.

And now my.....

Puts

#43 Fonseca Series F Robusto – This and other Fonseca’s I’ve tried were just plain & spicy. I prefer a more perfumed flavored cigar. This was nothing special to me but got great reviews.

#44 CAO Brazilia Piranha – I love the flavor, construction and burn. The only reason I wouldn’t smoke these too often is because it knocked me on my arse. This is the only cigar where I had to lay down for a ½ hour after smoking it.

#45 La Gloria Cubana Series R #5 (M) – I heard great things about these. The 2 that I have tried (#5 & #6) both had burn issues and flaking wrappers. It was also like biting into a peppercorn. As I’ve said, I prefer more perfumed flavors.

#46 Punch Rare Corojo Rothchild – Originally I was going to ‘put’ the Don Lino Africa Duma but my local guy ran out. That cigar I loved in the beginning, but after a few they became randomly good. I think they need aging. After reading a review I tried the Punch few weeks ago, and I don’t remember anything about it. Not even smoking it. I know I did, because I still have the bands. It had to be decent, because I would have remembered it, if it was bad.

Takes

#33 K.Hansotia Park Ave Series 44

#37 La Aurora Robusto Maduro

#9 Fire by Indian Tabac - Robusto

#19 Indian Tabac Maduro Tomahawk

In final, a giant THANKS to everyone involved in this pass and again to Blue Dragon for hosting it. I can’t wait to participate in more.

now a picture before they go to sleep in the coolerdor... :p

Shibumi,

Nice coolidor!!!

Thanks, 25 bucks at costco and it came with a travel cooler. 15 bucks for spanish cedar and 10 bucks for the gel. (beads to come soon)

Edited to add; Forgot the Digital Hygrometer for $25. I could have gotten away with the analog hygrometer I have.

Where did you get the spanish cedar? I found a little cooler at a garage sale for $2 that I am going to turn into a coolidor. I would like to use some spanish cedar to cover the sides and to put in a shelf, but I am not sure where to find some. Can you PM me some options? TIA.

Glad to see the pass is off to the races again! :) I am still out of town. It turns out my wife dropped the bike a couple of times and it will need some repairs before she can drive it back home. (She is fine, just a bruised ego  ) So I won't be back on line till Tuesday evening or Wednesday.

I think DG pretty much has his P's and T's worked out. The only one that will change is the IT Tomahawk; I don't think there is another one in there. .....

Hey C, glad there was no road rash involved and that your wife is ok. That could ruin a trip real fast. PM sent about the cedar.

#19 Indian Tabac Maduro Tomahawk

Damn I had my eye on this one.

I got the pass and On first inspection looks good. When I get the chance around lunch I will give it a better look see.

That was fast. Sorry about the tomahawk, but I love maduros. There are a lot of other good choices for you though.

Don't worry about it. I was just joking and had them before and found them to be a nice smoke. Also before some BOTL goes running off to the Post Office and sending some out. Don't do it.

Check everything and all looks good! Here are my picks. Let me know if all is ok!

Takes:
10 Fire by Indian Tabac - Toro
14 Indian Tabac Anniversary Limited Reserve Bear
46 Punch Rare Corojo Rothchild
12 Hoyo de Monterrey Sultans Maduro
17 Indian Tabac Cuban Corojo Warrior
40 A.Fuente Chateau Fuente
22 Puros Indios #2 Especial

Puts:
47 M & R Vintage Reserve
48 Diesel Fuerte by Rocky Patel
49 JR Ultimate Cabinet No.50
50 Royal Cheiftain
51 Cohiba Dominicana old label
52 Oliveros Classic Collection
53 Maria Mancini Magic Mountain
54 Savoy
55 Dona Patricia

Stories-
Cohiba Dominicana:
Everyone has heard of this cigar maker so I figured that I should try one as the price wasn't that high. Well it wasn't a bad cigar but I guess all the hype in the name let me down.

Royal Cheiftain:
Dona Patricia:
M & R Vintage Reserve:
When I first found my Local Tobacco store I went in looking for some value smokes. Not wanting to spend more than a few bucks I asked them what they had and that I wanted 2 or 3 of each. She went around and pulled the above cigars. While not bad they aren't as good as what I'm smoking now. I'm getting a little snobbish.

Savoy:
They just came into the store and I want to try them. Nice cheap smoke for only a few bucks. I get more of these down the road.

Oliveros Classic Collection:
Nice smoke. What can I say. Happen to have an extra one and it fits the pass.

Diesel Fuerte by Rocky Patel:
JR Ultimate Cabinet No.50:
Maria Mancini Magic Mountain:
I like these smokes and fine them to very good. Just want to let some others try these.

Edit: Should have paid more attention in English Class.

P's&T's look good to me. Great job at mixing up the box a bit.

Got a PM from Blue Dragon so everything is packed and ready to go. Will have the box out Thursday as requested.

CvilleYoungGun heading your way per your PM.
