You Learn Something About Pirates Every Year Pass

Using phone so no bitching if I am terse. Cory that makes sense, I thought you were putting that dc for dan to take (like he would be getting the pass again). Thats all groovy, the sublime for pmm is pretty shitty pound for pound as there is currently like a 20 plus a stick price dif. Joe I hope you stay but clearly I have no idea what is really going on.

Oh also with thisnew nfo we are obviously redoing p/t

Hmm... FWIW, today I can find a box of 25 Sublimes for $5500 ... And no, that's not a typo. LMK where you can find Sublimes for $25 and I'll do a box split with you! :thumbs:

I was just going off market price on theboards for each over the last year or so, I can't think of a vende I would buy either from. Ffs someone find me a 443 proxy so I dont need to type from my phone lmao

I'm hardly whining. It's the smart choice, there's two low dollar sticks I want, the one person in front of me is more than likely going to do the same puts and takes he proposed, so why would I pay to ship a pass on when there's nothing I want out of it? While there's obviously more to a pass than what you can put in/take out, when the thread has been a sham for well over a month(a very inactive sham at that), there's not a whole lot left to hold my interest. I appreciate your concern though, it's really touching.

Edit: I guess I could have worded my earlier post a little better, it does sound quite like "I'm taking my ball and going home", that's not my intention, rather it's more like "The pass has massively changed after a month long delay and hasn't really began it's course, now that it's the way it is I have very little interest, so I'm going to step out."
 
All I have to say is some of these puts and takes seem quite a bit off. I don't know who's the mastermind of this, but by screwing around with the pass so much and deciding puts and takes they are responsible for everything that happens. I hope whoever it is thats "running this" has a nice stash of smokes.

Phil already said that he was not responsible, so no whining to him. He also said that it was a group moderated pass. He also titled it a Pirate pass and had laid out every impression that the pass was going to get pirated at some point in time. So this pass may be a little unconventional, but I find it rather amusing. It has all been in good light-hearted fun. And I would venture a guess that it will happen again .. or something like it .. or maybe something more fun? :whistling:

If you have an issue with the puts and takes, then I suggest you spell it out instead of making vague references to ghosts in the attic*. Phil had some direct questions, which were answered and I haven't seen anyone else post any valid concerns. If it is decided that the PMM is not a valid trade for the Sublime, let's figure it out now and get it straightened out before the pass moves on. If there are any other concerns speak now or forever hold your peace. It shouldn't be that difficult. ... And if it isn't apparent .. There is no mastermind behind this; just a bunch of Pirates messing with a matey.

Anyone can bow out of the pass at any time; nobody can make you play, that's silly. I have seen plenty of people opt out for whatever reason when their turn came up. yeathatsme, your post did sound like "I'm going to take my ball and go home" .. no skin off my back; I figure Phil just dodged a bullet. :D

The put/take I'm talking about is the PMM for the Cohiba. I was going to say something about the REs also but he made up for that by putting in other cigars. IMO, this is why the group should be involved in discussing puts/takes, not just one individual. I don't remember having a chance to give my opinion on this and I think it's important for everyone to have a say, especially if someone might feel that a put wasn't even.

As far as ghosts in the attic, I believe that's the new tatuaje Pete is releasing next year, there is only 13 available on the 13th day of the 13 moon cycle.

But yeah, I haven't had a drink in quite a while, and haven't attacked any more walls with pencils either! :D

I spoke with David and he said he had seen this play happen in other passes and figured it would be alright. But if people had an issue with it that he would make it right. To make things simple, I'm going to swap out the Cohiba Sublime for a PMM, and then all should be right with the world. :thumbs: ... I don't have a VR Maestro, and if I did, I would smoke it. :)

This is what I am planning so far. I am still doing a little hunting for something to swap w/ the Mojito, but I may be unsuccessful.

After much consideration, and talking to a few people, I would like to stay in the pass, if that's alright with Phil. The piracy was certainly frustrating, but it's not worth losing the experience of being in one of Phil's infamous passes.
