You know, I think there was a lot more to this than ever came public, but enough did come of it to give us all a pretty good idea. Who ever said "bizarre" was right on. I had reasons for not liking Wilkey, but nothing that couldn't have been turned around. In fact, I expected at some point they would turn around.
 
I don't even know where to start or what to say. So I'll keep my opinions to myself. I just hope whatever is going on in Wilkey's life he can deal with in a positive manner. Thanks for all the work you put into protecting CP Rod.

You may want to put back the information.

Some of those reviews were based on gifted cigars, by CP members...in order for him to do a review!
 
Unless I've met the individual personally, I generally stay out of these issues. I figure who am I to judge a man I've never shook hands with.

However, it's hard not to at least say how disappointed in Wilkey I am. Though for some reason, surprised I am not.

3 posts in a row. Why do you new guys feel the need to make posts like this when one of these threads pop up. Yea Rod said the thread is open for discussion, but if this is what you have to add to the thread, you need to sit back and STFU.
 
I rarely post. I am here nearly every day reading and gathering info. I enjoyed reading some of his posts he did indeed have a wealth of knowledge. This however doesn't entitle you to go off the deep end and do as you please. This I think is a loss for the community but it sounds as if it needed to be done. Thanks for looking out for us Rod and doing what is right.

If you look - you will see they were all posted at the same time...within a minute but I am sure we did it without knowing the others made the same observation.Sorry if we did something wrong...

I have to say I'm very disappointed. I really liked and respected Wilkey for some time. That eroded many months ago, but I never thought his integrity and maturity were an issue. I guess we all learned something from this.

I know that my post doesn't add much, but I've been sitting on the sidelines with this kind of stuff lately and felt the need to say something. As difficult as this has been to watch, CP is a better place without that type of nonsense.
 
Damn Wilkey! Don't you realize how EASY it is to restore deleted posts on a platform like IPB? It may take Rod an hour or two, but lets just say that he is motivated.
 
I personally have never been able to make it through Wilkey's long winded, high falootin' posts.
If anyone can make Reader's Digest versions... I'll check 'em out.
At least there'll be more bandwidth for the rest of us now. :whistling:

Well said....me too. I guess he felt that with his time invested, the material he wrote was his. There was a lot of good stuff there....enough to write a book!
 
Now that the facts are out there, I'm going to close this thread for now. Thank you for being civil with your comments.

Updates to follow regarding the restoration process.
