I’m shocked that a $25 bottle of liquor taste so good. I have never really drank rum, so I don’t really have anything to base it on, but I am enjoying this a lot!!! I will definitely be expanding my liquor collection with some rum now.

Picked up some Compass Box “Affinity” (Scotch and Calvados). Interesting drink - if you’re able to find it in the $60-70ish range.

Also (based on recommendations from this board) some High West Rendezvous Rye. Can’t wait to crack the bottle.

I almost picked up a compass box recently, had a taste at a bar. Interesting indeed.

The Rendezvous Rye is amazing - thanks to all who suggested it. Great call. Still thinking I like the Templeton's 10 yr a bit better, but it's a close one!

The Affinity is "interesting", but not as smooth as I'd anticipated for a Compass Box Scotch Whisky. I also did not pick up the apple flavors the reviewers raved about. Might have been an off night - will try it again later!
