What SMOKING music are you listening to? (2025)

MMM - I was inspired to write this song about one of my all-time favorites after I watched a documentary called "Never Too Much" late last year. It's a great watch for anyone who is a Luther Vandross fan or a music fan in general. Such an amazing talent that wrote, produced and performed songs with artist like David Bowie, Quincy jones, Chaka Khan to name a few. He had his demons, like many of us do, but not having the ability to be his true self and feel what he perceived as true love might have been his toughest. Anyways, here is my Tribute to L. V.

Perhaps the lines "The home you dreamed of, a place to belong" more spoken than sung for emphasis. Not a fan of "and just a house"

The line "the home you dreamed of, and not just a house" if you are familiar with Vandross, that is in reference to his absolutely amazing 1980's rendition of a song that was performed by Dionne Warwick in the 1960's " A house is not a home"

There is a difference in flow between "A house is not a home." and "The home you dreamed of and not just a house" The word house is harsh compared to the last words of the surrounding line. Maybe you can flip it to "Your house becomes the home you dreamed of.,"
