What smoking music are you listening to? (2024)

To piggy back on the above I've always liked this version sung by Denny Laine (founding member of The Moody Blues and Wings) on Ginger Baker's Air Force album. Completely different then most.

 
I like to think this is interesting trivia.

The Band's single The Weight was released August 8th 1968
The Beatles single Hey Jude was released August 26th 1968
The Beatles performed Hey Jude on tape for the David Frost Show on September 8th 1968 exactly one month after The Weight was released.'
On the sing along part of the song (6:19 on this video below) you can hear Paul sing "Take the load off Judy take the load off baby and put it back on me" Which is pretty damn close to the Band's lyric of "Take the load off Fanny ,Take the load for free, And put the load right on me."

How cool is it when Paul McCartney lifts one of your lines?
