Ashton VSG Tres Mystique (that was really, really good)
Excalibur Dark Knight (wrapper split in several places but managed to hold together, lots of smoke, tasty as ever)

I had a Casa Fuente Corona Gorda tonight after dinner and I've got to say it was very boring. Good thing I've got another "resting.". Perhaps I'll revisit this stick in a year. But what am I thinking? I'm in Paris right.now and should be sampling other fine products rather than what I brought out with me. Geez... that Casa Fuente really made me feel like a sucker. Tomorrow I'll have a Shark under the Eiffel Tower!

El Credito Maduro No. 4 - It was my first cigar with damaged wrapper, and only last 1/4 was smoking good. :(

For the first smoke of the day, a Bolivar Royal Corona from my 2006 CP Fantasy Football winnings! This sucker is GOOODDD!!!

I had a PAM "A". Good solid smoke for two hours and I liked it a little better the the Torp.
I plan on breaking out the most unexpected of the year - Punch Grand Cru Robusto Maduro with age. This cigar ages very well. The age brings flavors to bear in that happy coincidence of leaves and taste buds called flavor. It is a mixture of sweet, sour, with a touch of bitter. Aging a Gran Habano #5 might do something similar. Cigars that have a strong wrapper flavor and a smooth, aged filler seem to appeal to me.

Forgive the choppy tone I'm a little ...off. ;)

Last night I enjoyed a fantastic Partagas Series D 3 EL 2006 after New Year's dinner. What a delicious smoke which will certainly become better with age. I have a San Cristobal Mercadores for tonight. Happy New Year everyone!

Hemmingway Signature Maduro

Cohiba Siglo III
Anejo #48

Midnight/Early Morning
Davidoff Grand Cru No. 2
La Flor Dominicana Premium Line Grand Maduro No. 5

Among others, I had my second CI Legends "Purple Label" by Greycliff.

This is about the spongienst cigar I've ever had. The draw is loose, even though I punched it. Feels to me like there's about enough tobacco in it for a cigar half its size. It burns OK, but it tastes like pencil shavings. I've never had a true Greycliff, and this certainly doesn't motivate me to drop the coin for one.

R&J Churchill from the same MAR 05. what a smoke! This was complimented with good laughs with the guys at JR Whippany
