had a p. short last night from a mar.06 cab. it was VERY good.
Later had a habana corojo #5 that was bland(had to be dud).was like sucking a paper so i put it out.

Cohiba Siglo IV.
It was good, but I was expecting to be wowed. I wasn;t. Too much money for just "good". I liked it, but kept asking myself if I was being totally honest and objective with myself. I tried to talk myself into loving it, but just really liked it. $18 can be better spent. Maybe CC is onto something with those SLR serie A's.

Had a maduro Double-Chateau Fuente. As usual, the first 2/3s was great, but couldn't finish the last 1/3...they get really harsh near the end, IMHO.

I had a SDLH El Morro from '05 today. Too damn wet still  . I smoked it for about an hour and half and only got half way through it. I was planning on doing a review of it, but it'll have to wait.

I had a Macanudo Maduro that I picked up today. Very flavorful but didn't seem strong at all. Robusto size lasted 2 hours which is longer than most robustos last me. The flavor reminded me of a CAO Brazilia.

I will be trying this one again.

I had a two-fer this evening with my usual crew at JR Whippany. First was a Connie seconds (I think it tis the 843) for the ERDM FDL courtesy of Slevy007. What a wonderful smokes and for the price point- it was an awesome smoke! Once I finish with my primo stash I will definetely go for these--highly recommended !!! Steve please confirm the number above.

Second smoke for the evening as a VSG Wizzard---this kick the flavor profile a notch!!!! I never had a disappointing VSG

The evening was spent smoking good cigars and good company--nice weekend send off to the New Year! Cheers everyone! :)

Had a a CI Legends Orange and wrapperless White.

Also later on had a shark, my first shark, my first Anejo. I wonder where if any companies make cognac barrel humidors? :D

LFD Churchill Especiales Oscuro -- nice, as always
Pepin Garcia 601 -- a tad strong, but enjoyable
H.Upmann Magnum 50 -- good, but still young yet, finish was a bit bitter

Started with Tatuaje Noellas Reserva. Excellent strong little smoke. Abundance of flavors with sweet overtones and a very good build up of spice. Great ending.

Followed with LFD Lancero Oscuro. Stronger than the noellas, started smooth with medium body and developed into a full bodied smoke halfway. Had a lot of trouble keeping it lit after the second third and after relighting it quite a few times, I had to put it down at the final quarter mark when it developed some acridity and bitterness from the relights.

Both cigars were very enjoyable and I wish I had taken better notes on the flavors, but I was busy losing my money to Andrew. Thanks again for the sticks and poker, bro.

An excuse is an admittance of failure!

Only ended up winning a few bucks Sam... but I did enjoy the wine. *hic* :)

Started the morning with an Edicion de Silvio. The light up was a little strong but, as always it smoothed out.

Had a Litto Gomez Diez - Lusitano this morning with coffee!!!
Thanks Nate!!!

Ten days of vacation and 8 days into it before I have time for some serious smoking  . Today I had a WOA, Anejo 46, Juan Lopez No.1 (05), and a AF Don Carlos Lancero. I think I will dip into the stash one more time when friends come over later.

Started the day off with an Opus X DC, then went with a mid afternoon Monte #2 , and I'm finishing up with a LFD Double Ligero Lancero. Of the three, the LFD Lancero is the most impressive so far.

Spent all most all day at the B&M...A little New years herf. Started off with an ERDM Choix Surpreme from 2003 followed by a Power Ranger from last Christmas.
